So my cousin has a sports shop. We will start to sell twin tips winter 2010-2011. If this work, should we try selling ninthward? onep? moment?

We want to try and sell these brands because our competitors don't. Should we?

couldnt hurt to be different and as long as you have fair prices it would probably help your business. i would still carry more common brands like armada, k2 and salomon

onep made me laugh, but being different from the competitors is always good. I hate my local shop so much that i pretty much only go to the more race oriented shop because they have much better customer service and their guys know whats up.

Carry different brands is a good way to separate from the crowd, but good customer service is essential

you should sell the best skis you can sell.

ON3P (at the moment) is selling their skis on their own, i dont think they are letting stores sell their gear yet.

moments are great, but you have to have people that want those skis. like my shop doesnt sell a single ski over 100mm in the waist because we are in the east coast and its a family shop.

selling skis from the big companies isnt bad, if they make a good product that people want, then sell it

I'd contact the manufacturers and see what you can get. Smaller indie brands dont always get the sales, but I frequented the shops that sold some of the rarer brands back in Seattle. Even if I didnt buy a pair of skis from that shop, I supported them by getting mounts done there, buying gloves, etc. Having rare brands can set apart your store from the competition for sure, but I dont know how well you could realistically expect them to sell compared to tried and true brands. You'll get respect from the people really into skiing, but might not get interest from the other 75% of your customers.

Where is the shop located? Has there been a proven demand for twin tips? If so then I think that is awesome. Differentiating yourself from competitors is a great strategy. I would look at buying into some brands that are considered to be more substantial and established companies because they are always a safe sell and then I would buy some of the more core brands, but it's always safe to have those established brands on your ski wall just in case you are not moving the smaller brands.
