eh this is hard since i work at a ski shop but stand around

home feeling, fucking chill, u can watch movies for free, more relaxed to buy not very "how can i help you" feel

yes/no demoing means u need to ski which means u need to wait till the season already started. it takes too long to buy them and mount and u lose time of actual skiing.

I like when people are associated with certain products it tends to mean that they know more about the product they are selling.

Everything like t.v's and stuff are good it creates a friendlier store which you know you can come in and buy stuff and hang around and talk and stuff while the person you are with i.e girlfriend or non skiing frind can amuse herself infront of the t.v

Yeah it is nice to but its a hassle you just cant be bothered sometimes and you often know what you want before you head in anyway when it comes to skiing. The problem with letting people demo stuff it can lead to alot of waste, not only in resources but time and money.

9.) Would you like a more traditional store (just the products) or a more home-feeling store (t.v.'s with movies, couches, food and drinks, and music)? Why or why not? Traditional, but maybe a TV that plays X-Games footage, and videos. No couches though, or people might just linger to watch.

10.) Would you like to fully demo the equipment before you buy, so you know what you are getting? Demos are good, but hard to do unless you’re right on the Mountain. Make it possible for easy return for cash/store credit, or product of equal/lesser value.

Other Comments- Really hope this helps. Good shops with employees who know what they are talking about and are friendly are really needed these days.

- Doesn't matter, I'll buy the brands a store carries if I support the store. All equipment has its purpose.

- Same as above.

- Mounted/tuned at a shop, wax 'em myself.

- I like small stores with the person behind the desk who just says hi when you come in, bye when you leave, may ask if you need help when you're looking around, and is there to help you when you need it.

- HOME FEELING STORE. This is a hard thing to do, though, because you don't want the customers to feel like they're freeloading.

- Would be cool, but not essential. Having a couple pairs of demo skis ready would be nice.

It's great for your customers because our sport is as much a lifestyle off the hill as on, so it's cool to hang out and shoot the shit with other skiers. its great for you because if there are kids coming to the shop every day after school to read the new mags or watch the new films, then their moms will know where to buy the christmas presents.
