Bush Veto's anti torture law

Ever heard of a place called Guantanamo Bay? I doubt it cause the government try's to keep it hush hush, not that people seem to care about it once they find out about it anyway

Oh ya and I would also like to point out that plenty of the people held in guantanamo bay have never been convicted of any crimes and will never recieve a fair trial.

But they aren't American's so I guess the constitution wouldn't apply to them would it now

Yeah, but the problem is that this torture is accepted institutionally, I really suggest reading that article I posted the link to on the previous page, and then tell me what you think.

That is the fucking stupidest quote I have ever heard in my entire life. Its actually funny. According to the above quote, Hitler was morally right in every thing he did during his political career, as was Stalin, Castro, etc. Are you fucking retarded? Do you really believe that shit?

I guess you'd be right if you figure killing people and mass genocide are good moral values. However, I dont think that mass murder is a value most would consider moral. But of course, thats just me.

umm i think many people have heard of guantanamo bay. most of my friends and piers in and or around my school do!

heres some pics.

anyone know why they are masked up or w/e?

im not scared of a whole lot, except rails, meningitis, and spiders, but torture freaks me out.

I would rather be killed than tortured and able to live after

im gonna get flamed but if torturing a terrorist gave us information to stop an attack and save 1000s of lives then so be it. we cant just be pussys and be all omg be nice to the war prisoners who want us all dead. bottom line is all of these al queda, taliban radical muslims (im in no way saying all muslims are terrorists) in our prison camps want each and everyone of us dead, so i value our lives more than theirs. go ahead, rip on me

first off, i believe they are practicing their religion

and they would be in their state w/goggles etc so they dont know where they are

g bay is a huge secret complex and by knowing hwere they are, prisoners would be able to plan something

ie escape, attack

I believe they're actually being put through some sort of 'sensory depreivation' by not allowing them to hear or see anything and basically isolating them from everything. this is NOT their religion and you're a sick fuck for even thinking that.

I don't get how the US can invade other countries for alleged links to terrorism, yet there is proof coming outta everyones asses that the US pulls the same shit in places like G-bay and torture facilities in the middle east.

Seriously...why the fuck does no one care? I guess its easy if you have a monopoly over the 'democratic' UN.

you are the idiot

do you have any idea how secretive that prison is? Or how able the prisoners are? They are much smarter than you think and they must not know their location on the camp. It keeps them from attempting anything. By knowing their location in the compound, they would have an advantage vs. not knowing

sorry fo the double post, but im no sick fuck.

The pic where they are on their knees is prayer. The pic where they are sitting is not their religion so you my friend can fuck off

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe muslims face mecca when they pray, i.e. the first picture is not them "practicing their religion" since they are all facing different directions.

like they do to your precious prisoners? you hypocrite. just think about the above post for a sec. you may want to consider never posting in a political thread again. ever.

how many people do you think the USA has tortured? is that including waterboarding? is sensory deprivation torture?

i dont know if this is accurate, but ive heard that we've waterboarded like 3 people. one being that kalid mohammad character, who spewed up a ton of valuable info. i don't know about any other ones, or whatever, but i would say it worked in that case, and in the one case we know of, well, im not crying myself to sleep at night over his discomfort. hes still alive as far as i know, and still has all his faculties. he hasnt had limbs removed or family killed in front of him.

and there was some dude who said that the beheadings are fake? serious? maybe one was, but there have been several. remember daniel pearl? that was before all of this US war on terror got going.

i guess my take on this is that i dont feel the least bit sorry about the sensory dep. stuff... waterboarding, i dont know. like i said, the only time i know of it being used (im sure there are others) it was successful. if we were cutting off toes or something like that i could be a bit more sympathetic.

and i guess my other two cents would be in regards to everyone thinking that this is some new thing thats going on... that political corruption is a new thing, and that the Bush admin is the greatest evil to ever grace the scene. come on kids... youre not that obtuse... are you? you are... okay. nvmd.

To be honest, I'm to lazy to read the rest of the thread to see if anyone has called you out yet... but if those are your beliefs, I really don't have a problem with that, I just don't think you deserve to live in the US of A if you can't support it. Enjoy your "shack in aruba", and I hope you have a great laugh.
