In 1998, the egyptian government got a hold of bin laden and asked clinton if he wanted them to hand over bin laden. Clinton declined however, and bin laden was set free. If Clinton accepted bin laden, september 11 most likely wouldn't of happened. It is not the Bush administration's fault 9/11 happened. people also say bush messed up the economy. but when the economy was high it was based on false revenues. it was a false economy.

This was before all the hit with companies like enron-mostly the wter shortage hit. anyay, the economy was better before and went down because of bush. how? when it was official and befoe that bush would be pres. Economically the U.S. and the world bank are creating a strangle hold on the entire third world. This is modern day slavery far worse than in America 100 years ago. This is about thousands of people starving to death. Several billion chronically hungry people partly because the U.S. controls grain prices, partly because of western friendly governments and bullshit 'aid' systems, partly because the world bank takes away their ability to fed themselves and become a sustainable country. The west is taking away their prosperity so that we can have more for a longer time. In Asia sweatshops are still a huge problem, and here we are wearing the very symbols of slavery all over our bodies. People die in fires everyday, children have to work long hours because their families are so poor. And you think people are gonna take this?? Everyday the amount of children who die of hunger is the equivalant of 240 planes (Each carrying 150 kids)crashing. and that's just children. And you're crying because less than ten planes went down on one day of the year. And why the fuck Iraq? UN treaties? Bullshit check out what IRANS packing. And don't tell me its because Iran didn't sign those bullshit documents. Bush is going after Iraq because as soon as he can stabilize the country, by putting in a right wing american friendly 'democratic' government he can get the oil out.

skierboy is wrong........the economy was in a downturn at the end of the clinton administration. people didnt really notice it cause of the period of prosperity, but liberal democrat speds feel that it is easy to say that since bush came to office the economy has sucked. and guess what...thats true!!!, but it wasnt bush's fault. the cards were already delt. a period of economic boom is ALWAYS followed by a drought as far as economics go. go hug a tree and hold up a peace sign.

 
if the economy was already bad, then how come unemployment was low, stock market was realetively high(was going down cause of the .com buis) and companies wernt laying off people like they were after bus took office. look, place the blame all you like on the democrats, but bush and his admin has had 2 years to fix the economy, and they so far havent even really tried

the problem with bush in my opinion is that he's got his priorities all wrong.. how can u put so much emphasis on 'homeland security' when your own citizens are dying everyday from matters that are created on your homeland. i think the whole security shit should maybe calm down a little bit, and there should be more focus on creating sustainable living conditions for the entire nation, then worry about people that may or may not cause harm to the citizens from outside countries. wow.. that was a run-on sentence

By definition, firefighters are heros. Yes, that is their job, but it is a noble profession. What the hell do you do?? I don't know if you are stubborn or just stupid. Holy crap.

i just contend that they arent heroes, especially those in NYC, they only made matters worse. if they had left it at that, losing several hundred i might show some more respect, but now they are bitching for more money and they are using all that bull shit as bargining shit when its likely something like that will never again happen in their lives. both, yes back to politics, the republicans and firefighters are exploiting that whole thing. trying for more money, votes for them, all these new things because of that. furthermore they didnt really save anyone and they are now doing is just griping to get their way. once in a while, a firefighter des save a life or two, maybe more, but they are not all heroes

Look, you can feel however you want about politics and such, not that I agree with you, but you have your opinion. Fine. The thing that has floored me is your lack of respect for other people who put their life on the line with the hope that they can make a difference to someone in need. Do you know that a LOT if fire departments are volunteer?? Anyone who puts their life on the line (according to the definition) is a hero. All firefighters have had to do this at one point or another.

Then you say firefighters made 9-11 worse? How do you figure? If trying to save the lives of people is making it worse..than I guess you are right. And you say that they are asking for money. You know why? Because a lot of equipment was lost in the wreckage. A fire truck costs between 500,000 and 1 mil. dollars. It's not cheap to replace these.

You don't think something like this can happen again? From your previous posts, I don't know what you think anymore. If human society has learned anything over thousands of years, it's that history repeats itself. Have you ever taken a history class? Guess not.
