I am sick of all these kids who have no idea of what they are talking about saying the Bush is an idiot with out an expaination. Saying that just proves you know nothing because if you knew what was going on you would be able to see that although he is a highly corrupt person he is NOT stupid. He knows how to get people on his side and use people and polotics for his own advantage. Everything he does and says if for his own benifit and he is very good at that. He is infact smarter than all of these high power repbulican tools that are going down left and right (Delay, Abramoff, Frist, ect), Bush knows when to keep his mouth shut and has built up a wall of cronies that he can use as scapegoats when he needs someone to take the blame for he so that he can claim that he has no idea of what is going on.

Lol if you read the post you would have see that I hate bush just as much as anyone I was simply pointing out that is is not stupid but is infact smart as far as his own benifit goes. Why shoud this thread be closed I just want to have a little debate,.
 
He is good at surrounding himself with smart people, that doesnt mean he is smart. Besides, all those people that are going down are going down in relations to Bush. He didnt talk to the commission before spying, yet had he gone to the commission he would easily have been granted permission, it has even been stated that it would have been approved, but he didn't anyway. He is a politician, which means he works for his party, not himself.
 
You should if you plan on existing for the next 20 years. He is the most powerful man on the planet and what he does now (economy, forign relations, pretty much everything) will effect all of us ecpecially our generation.
 
Thats true but it makes you wonder why he didn't seek approval, you can say that he is stupid but his close connections aren't. For example even if Rove is probobly the most evil of Bush's cronies he is very smart and knows what is best for his boss and his party even if it is illigal or immoral. Dont you think that if they wanted to they would have getten that approval? I suppose that they didnt want the public to find out about the spying . . . possibly because they knew that is was wrong.
 
he has some smart advisors, and they pretty much do the work. corrupt? yes. idiot? yea i would say so. the man doesnt have much intellegence as far as a president goes.

Ok he is a horrible president but saying he is a stupid president I disagree with. There is a diffrence between not caring and being stuipid and I dont think that he gives a shit about our country and our future. You can says that he got bad grades in school but that proves my theory even more, if you came from a dynasy family like the Bush's you wouldnt care about what grades you get because he knew he was going to be hooked up either way, so he just parties and had a good time.
 
Thats not true at all. Politicians only care about themselves and what they can do to get themselves reelected. Politics is all about survival and politicians will do anything to keep themselves in office. Sometimes they stay with the party and sometimes they go against the party.

He isn't smart. Look a little bigger at the picture, youre kinda on the way, but theres a lot more to it. All the people in office aren't the ones running shit. THEY are the cronies, the tools, the pawns. They are a medium part in the BIG scheme of things. They take orders, but they do also give some. Bush ISN'T smart, he fucks up and lets things out that he shouldn't, and just the other day he referred to the slim 85 million (not even a 2000th of what he's spent in Iraq) the feds are giving to "help" the people in New Orleans as "that's a lot of money for people in that part of the world."
 
i think he had a smart political campaign and he's good a bringing fear to the american people so he could get re-elected.

However I do think he is an idiot for the choices he made. War on terrorism and afganastan was smart, but the war on iraq was retarded. I think he cannot defend or find a legit to reason for it.And the US economy was harmed by it.

But I really dont feel like arguing abou tthis topic again. So I wont go and type my reasons in great detail, Im simply dont think he made good choices for the US, and the world. And did exactly what Alquaida wanted him to do, and that was bring more fear to the American people,and start a war that the rest of the world thought was not justified.
 
Only on NS will people debate a politician's intelligence rather than their actual policies.

Shure the war in Iraq (and most of his descisions) wasnt a good choice for America but I dont think that makes him stupid, infact that was a good descision on his part because in his perspective he is making friends, money, and distracting the public from the other issues like the economy, education, and the fact that we havent caught Osama. He has also been able to streach his power far beond the limits of the Constitution using Iraq as an excuse.
 
thats a valid opinion, i howeve,r dont agee with it i think that he is in fact and idiot, he is not the one making the decisions, bush is just a puppet, him alone would be no threat to humanity, its the smart people that tell him what to do, the smart and corupt people are the ones who pose a threat
 
my reasoning for that is simple. I really didn't like kerry or bush, I didn't really care who won the election. But Bush is the leader of this country so I back him for just about everything he does. It is pretty stupid not to back the leader of a country because you really can't change the results of the election.
 
whats with this pro bush bandwagon shit? i had like one supporter last year when the elections were happening on here. i typed fucking essays and i got alot of how hes "an oil grabbing fuck face". now like eveyones all like "ok bush is legit". SUpilot made a rant thread i posted on just recently. why now is it all bush support?
 
that kind of ruins the whole idea of democracy, which is that you have your own opinion and express it. And there are things called impeachment hearings. You are basically advocating electing a dictator every 4 years. The whole theory behind our system is that there are checks and balances, and no one has unilateral power. (although the system isn't working too well these days)
 
So you hate Bush, but you think he is a political genius? Or you hate bush as a president, but love him as a person? Like a christian sort of hate? Im confused.

It's because Bush-bashing has taken a backseat in mainstream media. Ben Affleck is not talking, Green Day has shut up, MTV has moved onto the next fad, and Michael Moore has retreated to his lair. Teenagers are tools, and make up over 90% of this site. If famous people aren't talking about it, teens aren't thinking about it. Now that the glamorous fad of hating the US president has played out, people forget about it and move onto the next popular thing. That is why you see less anti-Bush people. The flock has been moved to the next pasture. Dance puppets, dance!
 
i'm liberal, but i still always find that statement idiotic. Every war is a war on a word, as every name of a country is a war. when was the last war fought against dlkan or pelakdf?

While the idea that a war on terror is an extremely ambiguous term and basically an excuse to do whatever the fuck they want, I hate that statement. perhaps it should be "how does one win a war on a non-proper noun?"
 
Yes, but who exactly are we fighting. In a technical "war" there is usually a determined enemy. There is no determined enemy in the "war" on terrorism. This isn't even a war. This is a cleansing action. We are cleansing the world of Islam and that's all there is to it.
 
when it was going on, i was saying pretty much exactly that in refrence to who is bashing. then i elbaorated on my views of him being justified or at least in my opionion the reasons he should be supported for his differnet actions.

Yeah I hate Bush as a president and I've never met him in person but I am pretty shure I wouldnt like him as a person eather. Just because I;m saying he is smart doesnt mean I like him in any way. Stalin, Hitler, Mao, and the like were all in their own ways geniouses and, as with the majority of the population, hate all of them.
