allright even if we cant agree on the lawfulness or ethics behind trying him we can all agree on one thing.....he should be tried....it should be on primetime tv.....it will be the greatest comedy ever. period. i dont care what your political affiliations are we would all get a kick out of seeing him try to defend himself...he'll probably invent way more bushisms.

It seems as if they have missed the mark. It should've been done a long time ago. I like what this young lady posted thought. It is ripe with true and tragic irony. Fuck this shit.

"misleading the public and congress about the threat from iraq"
"illegal wiretapping of american citizens"
"torture of prisoners"
"violation of international law"
 
What would he be tried for?

If bush is going he'd have to be in line behind plenty of the rest of the worlds politicians
 
I'm not sure if you've payed any attention to anything recent

here are some possibilities for you...

perhaps he'll be tried for the invasion of a sovereign nation? As it appears as if it will be shewn that the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State, Vice-President, and the President all gave what i'd call 'false' attestations for reasons for going into Iraq.

perhaps we can ice the cake with his use of torture, as policy, something that breaks not only the Geneva Convention, but also our own constitution.

But don't trust me, i don't know what I'm talking about....
 
Well his executive powers are more for the Surpreme court to decide seeing as the get to interpret the constitution and I wonder who they will side with?

Sadam was violating treaties not to mention he was killing innocent kurds just because they didn't agree with him. Why is it ok to kill brown people for no reason but we get all up in arms over dafur why?(I belive all genocide is wrong).

We did get info from the brits so its not the last we ignored something they told us any thing bad happened *cough* pearl harbor cough*

and torture come on its not the geneva convention when were dealing with terrorist (cause they wouldn't care how sympathetic you are to their cause if they got their hands on you). The terrorists probably think were a bunch of pussies for only waterboarding when I wouldn't want to think about what they do.
 
Just because Bush lucked out and had a couple Justices die or resign or whatever doesn't mean that he obeyed the law.

And it's not really a matter of interpretation. I don't even care about the US law. He violated more treaties and agreements than I can even count.
 
Bush didn't declare war on Iraq, Congress did. Therefore, how can an International court try and convict him of genocide?
 
Bush most definatly did commit genocide but someone was *cough* sadam *cough* and breaking UN sanctions since Clinton was in office.

Really sanctions aint worth shit unless your willing to either stave people or blow shit up. Plus Bush has been speaking out against genocide more than any other world leader he was trying to get the UN to act in Darfur (cause we were already fighting else where and congress wouldn't have gone for troops in Africa)before his second term and before it became the popular thing to be concered about. So please stop talking about how Bush commited genocide when trying to stop it has been one of the few slightly more succsesful thing Bush did.
 
What about the WMD's or the links to Al-Qaeda or 9-11... are you telling me Iraq had nothign to do with the aformentioned? **sharp ghastly breath**

tell me this, if you believe george w. bush should be tried, why wasn't his father? why wasn't clinton? what were their reasons for going into Iraq?

 
not that i wouldnt want this to happen but, id prefer it happening like maybe a year ago or before.

the thing is tho like 1. his terms almost up

2. i prefer him to dick cheney

3. by the time everything gets started and the whole trial goes through even if they do impeach him, itd b like late november, so hed hav very ltle time left
 
i wish he was impeached long ago, but it prolly wont happen as he only has a few more months in office
