that is quite the hypocritical statement ^, because you are keeping a very closed mind too. I keep an open mind about most things, i agree with some things (details) about what Bush has done, but on the whole i think he has caused much more harm than good.

 
yeah see heres the problem with the internet, connections are always lost. i dont listen to talk radio but my boss last year did, it was unbearable. the guy... what was his name... some popular hostsean hannity... there we go... he would invite on guests for debates and the yell at them and flame them until they shut up and left, it was terrible. and then i always see things in other forums like that. and yes, i disagree with most conservative standpoints but my first argument for everything is not 'its all you damn conservatives'. and really take a step back, bush has done very little to benefit us and what he has done is overshadowed by his oversights, and perhaps not what hes done against us but what he hasnt done. our country has a lot of serious problems we need to solve and bush has done a very good job of covering them up and pushing them forward. if i were him i wouldnt want to get reelected cause then id have to find ways to just keep pushing it a long for four more years. sucks for whatever president does try and deal with it. we have a lot of expenses we havent paid for and even more coming in the relatively near future... so yeah.

the argument isnt bush vs gore... its bush performed poorly... gore may or may not have faired better, it was a pretty poor race. the factis bush is not a good leader. and a point i like to make is that it is part of the presidents job to be a good speaker, that is one of the criteria... but the guy barely knows english.. thats an exageration but still, hes unqualified.

bush hasnt been the best president yes but he has done many things to benefit the country...look at the situation he is in or was in, wutever...he has actually handled it pretty well...and its not a bunch of lies, we would know about it...shit like that gets out...open your mind a bit and look at other topics besides iraq and terrorism...he has aided california a lot with all the fires and shit...is that bad? hes not as bad as everybody actually thinks...the press is getting into peoples minds and brainwashing them...i do agree hes not the best tho...he could have done better, but anybody can do better no matter wut they do

Acctually i think what the problem with todays news is you only see one side ya know? Im not going to point the finger @ libs. Aslo bush has done a lot for our country. the economy which clinton fucked over is finally starting to get better. And bush is trying to get tress cut again which would of saved many lives with thinning timber and logging dead trees from bug kill and storms. Which also clinton fuckedf over. And the U.N. is completely worthless, they made thesee empty threats to Saddam that they had zero intentions of enforcing. Bush finally got on the ball and enforced. As for the issue of peace: Would peace be more or less prevalent in the world with or without Saddam Hussein. Take this into account, Saddam slaughtered thousands upon thousands of his own people, NOT peace. Saddam has openly professed his hatred toward America, NOT peace. So you tell me now that the assault on Iraq was not worth having ousted Saddam Hussein. Hmmm, maybe we should have left Hitler alone?

to be brutally honest, I don't see any of the democrats currently running as being any strong contenders of taking over the presidency.

It has been rumored that Hillary or Gore may try joining the race and if that's so then the tables may turn. But If either don't see much promise in winning than I doubt they will put their name at stake.

Currently the strong rebuttle against Bush is the economy, that was the grounds for a good majority of the flack he has been receiving from the other side. The problem is that due to his cuts and plans the economy is coming back around (sure, you could say whatever arguement you want refuting that Bush has nothing to do with the economy going well right now.. But the fact remains that the economy is doing great now and is showing promise)

In the next few months, things could change. If the candidates get their act together, stop all the mindless bickering and begin to demonstrate a firm standpoint and their goals then things could change.

We will only know for sure, come election day.

you are a dumbass. we did not create peace. The war is 'over', yeat more (american soldiers) have died since it has ended than in the actual war. We have no control of their people, and the whole thing about stopping terrorist, thats why we were in AFGHANISTAN. But they were proving nearly impossible to catch. this war had nothing to do with Al Qeuda (sp), the terrorist who did 9/11. If Saddam was doing so many bad things at the moment, he should have had good enough reason to convince the world. The UN inspectors found no weapons, but Bush insisted they were there, found nothing, and now he wants the world to help clean up his mess.

 
Well lets see our president we didn't elect is doing a terrible job. I think he is one of the worst presidents we have ever had. He is one of the most stupid ignorant people ever. He is ruining the United States as we speak, taking freedoms from people, not going by what by the first amendmnet (church-state) anyways...i didn't vote for him, more then half the country didn't vote for him...but he'll probably win again.

hey obviosly none of you have taken an econ class other than josh that i know of. But see the econonmy gets better from tax cuts, because people have more money to speand which allows them to buy more items which creates jobs which helps make more items which you and all consumers buy so the economy does better. Also the changes in the economy take time to change. If look in the past the economy is always bad during a republican pres. but not always bec ussally democrats w/ more taxes make people not spend their money which makes the economy worse and less jobs which makes the economy `worse. Then a repulican comes in and trys to fix the problem.

^ i am with this kid...i too took a class...most democrats (librals) dont like big businesses like microsoft and such...they want to split them up or cut them down...that forces the companies to downsize their employees...a lot of people lose there jobs and then they dont have money to buy things which then causes the economy to fall...repulicans (conservatives) like big business and like to create jobs so more people can buy things

ok, youre proving my point quite well. youre very quick to generalize 'democrats'... which i dont know if you generalize as everyone who isnt conservative/republican but many do... as wanting to destroy big business. bush's tax plan: he gave a couple absolutely worthless rebates... what are you going to do with a $300 refund? be like shit yeah, groceries for a month no benefit to the economy. his big taxx plan got reduced a lot so the big part of it, the part about taxing capital gains got cut for the most part as i recall... it was basically shelled. and finally, where the hell were we getting the money for a tax cut? were already in debt like 3 trillion or some crap like that. its a good concept but its not applicable now, the surplus created during clintons time in office was long gone before any of these tax were around. and personally im a globaliztion fan, and aj you should be too if you like small business over big, so the increasing debt and decreasing dollar value sounds pretty shitty to me. plus he bombed the crap out of some people with a pretty flimsy excuse to start out... did some good but generally put his nose where it didnt belong. plus as i said hes a poor speaker, which is one of the primary duties of a president.

yeah but 300 times millions of ppl equal a lot of money to be exchanged, which does help but not a whole lot. Yes i do like small buiseness and i try not to genrilze but im sorry but sometimes you have too. I just think both party's could do a better job of politics instead of worring who has more seats on the senate, etc. I think this is the best country hands down and if i had to go to war to support my freedoms i would but untill i get drafted im gonna go to school to better my self and this country in any way i cant by paying taxes spending money @ local shops to keep money in my area and try to make as many jobs as possible i think people in the us just forget how good we have it in the USA and dont relize how much worse it is in other countries and if you dont like it hear just leave were better off w/o you but hey this is the US of A and freedom of speach is really cool and the rest of our admendments.

Oh wait I almost forgot to tell you why I’m not going to vote for a liberal. In October of 1997 at the time Senate Minority leader Tom Daschle was asked by a Journalists when he would asked if he thought the American People were Overtaxed and whether he had any interest in working with the Republicans to cut taxes. He said that we are basically not tax enough. I don’t know what you guys want but I like to have more cash in my Pocket at the end of each pay check. And another thing one of those Liberal said that he wants our government to be more of a socialist type government, I don’t want to be like Russia use to be. Don’t you guys know that Socialisms leads to communism, think about it.

after taking a few economics classes, i figured out a basic pattern. During times of free-trade, tax cuts dont benefit the economy as much as during protectionism. We live in a world of free trade.

One final thing, i was listening to another economist, and he said one thing that really stuck in my head. Paying taxes is like paying rent to a country. The more rent you pay, chances are the more worth the country is. I would rather pay 1/2 of my wallet in taxes, if i knew i needed to get a 100,000 $ surgery, it would be covered by my government. Plus the majority of people are so irreseponsible with money, that the government created things like social security so that they wouldnt have to suffer as much during retirement.
