me and my buddy want to start a bus to tremblant ever weekedn from carleton u, because we are getting the 4x4 pass and it would be a lot easier then finding rides every weekend,

how do you go about doing this, do we call uip voyageur and just book a bus every weekend ? and anyone who goes to carlton here, woud you be interested?

i go to carleton. i'm getting a 4x4, and i know of at least 10 other people that are getting one. i think a bus would be a really good idea. i have no clue how you would go about doing it though.

saveur is out of the way and flat... it has a great park but the hill is flat, thats all that is there is park... and tremblant i think can match them if they chose to...

for a 4x4 pass all you need is a student card and a schedule, so borrow a friends schedule but put your name on it, so scan it switch the name and print it out, and get a student id from last year if you still have one, or make one easily by puting you photo, invent a school name or use one thats existing, put a date and anumber, print it out, and go laminate it

itll be cheap for lamination and then you are set

im pretty sure my group is final, but if you need / looking for more people ask around people, or ill ask peopel because if /when i make a sign up list to beo n the email list about tremblant bus, we can try to hook people up with groups of 4 for the season pass, just got to get that organized by mid october so it gives them until mid november to get the pass

Tremblant sucks. I guess for you guys its ok, but nothing out east can be skied hard..too small and flat.

im the person you need to talk to about the club, since its me and my buddy organizing it, and you might not even need a 4x4 group anymore, tremblant told us that if we sign up more then 20 people for the pass, then we all get discounts... so hold tight we will have all the info this week , like prices and such.

would you be willing to pay aorund 15$ for each bus trip, compared to gas money thats 4 and a half hours of driving, however much gas and the wear on your car bu driving it and the km put on it, so 15$ around for each bus trip? that is a coach bus WITH tv's and a washroom, which means ski/snowboard movies both ways every saturday, we will offer signle visits, and packages, voyageur is phoning us back tomororw, we talked ot them today, and tremblant we talked to last week and the guy is going to email us some discount info on the student passes, so think about it, also, how many times do you want to go up? we were thinking running it for around 8 weekends, maybe more, probably more, anyways post more thoughts here about reasonable prices and such... you will probably have to be 17+ and a student, but read previous post of mine how to 'become' a student...

I wish this shit was setup last year. Was anyone there the day the bus was setup to go in like March and it just never showed up? That sucked balls. Getting up at 5:30 on Sunday + missing day of skiing = fuck ass shit.

here are the 10 dates, we might make it 8, not sure depending on the price/support

Jan 10, Jan 17, Jan 24, Jan 31, Feb 7, Feb 28, March 6, March 13, March 20, March 27

(the reason for the gap in february is because of reading week) also , april are exams, so we decided not to have any trips then, people have to do their own thing

anyways reply back if your interested, and please say if you would rather have 8 or 10 trips,

costs is looking like 600-800, that is for 47 person bus i think, so do the math if we can get 47 each time it will be around 15, but if we can only guarantee 40, it will be around 20, but we will see if it can go cheaper, so decide how much you are willing to pay and reply

20 seems a bit much everytime... but it sounds good to me, i still dont have a seasons pass tho so if you know a couple ppl who need anothert group lemme know... me and my bro are in, and prolly a couple of my buddies so at least 3 of us everytime...

seems like too much of a hassle, easier to just take a car and charge people a few bucks for gas,

ya that tremblant pass is with tax, but its just the 4x4 pass, i guess thats what the deal was, the same one offered to everyone, we will see if we can get a cheaper bus though 172 is pretty cheap in my mind for 10 trips,

yeh you need to be 17 and have a timetable and student ID card....its like 250$ (w/out tax) for a 4x4 that lets you go when you want. Like 150 or something for the w-e only and 100 for the weeks.....just sheck it out at www.tremblant.ca

has anybody ever stayed at the hostel at tremblant??

it doesnt look too shabby, for 17$ a night i dont mind sleeping in a room the size of a prison cell with 3 other people

 
The Youth Hostel in Tremblant is the shit. I haven't been there in a few years but it was really fun when I went. The staff was young and really nice. You could come home after a day on the hill and sick down in front of the bar and just chill with everyone by the BAR. Fully equipped kitchen so you can just bring the basics and make all your meals. Plus there's a bus that goes into the village at night for drinking and cab rides home aren't too pricey. All in all it was a good experience the times I went. Definitely check it out.

But if you want to stay there and you know the dates make a reservation because it gets PACKED quickly.
