today at mountain creek was the burton demo day and they also had a rail jam. they said the jam was open to BOTH skiers and snowboarders. so i sign up and and start skiing in the comp. after my 1st hit i walk back up to the top and the guy from burton who is running the thing tells me that skiers wont be judged and they cant win anything. then he explaines to me that burton has NOTHING to do with skiing and was a huge dick about the whole thing. how can he say that burton has nothing to do with skiing when both Anon and RED sponser skiers. and i know a billion skiers that wear burton stuff.
 
i cant bag on thier stuff but that guy is a dik good point bout anon and red and look at palmer a pretty harcore boad company thes makin twintips for the 07/08 season their embracing the the sport thats gonna overthrow snowboarding
 
im just talking about their product from things ive heard from all my snowboarding friends. like how they claim that the vapor is the lightest board on earth... its not, elan makes a board that is lighter
 
I know that nobody cares becuase your all skiers but elan does make awsome boards, their skis suck, but their boards are something else.
 
that sucks dude especially if there was an entry fee. hope that guy has some bad luck in the future

burton makes some dope outer wear but i hate the actully boards and board company....there all to wrapped up in shaun white...and people with big names...but anon and red are rele good companies....never herd a complaint bout them...
 
they do make good stuff but that guy was a total dick head. its sad how one guy said something like that and now everybody hates BURTON and not him.
 
well dude there are easons though, either a) they didnt have people who knew enough to judge skiers and b) it wouldnt be good for the company image to give out shit to the only skier in the comp (if you won) and c) skiing and snowboarding are way different, its really hard to judge both together. apples to oranges nawda mean?
 
yeah, they're outwear licks ass. You have to pay at least a good $300 to get a jacket that's rated at 5,000mm for waterproof and breathability. Why do that when you can get a jacket from many other companies that are rated at 10,000-20,000 for cheaper.

IF, and yes I'm saying IF Burton EVER decided to make skis, I would buy a pair and video tape myself burning them to ashes and then piss on the ashes and then send the video to Burton. I HATE THEM.
 
i get where your coming from but then they should have said it was snowboard only. all the info on the comp said it was both skiing and snowboarding

Hahaha. People will mock that Burton dipshit's archaic attitude in the future when skiing and boarding cultures fuse into the new progression of mtn riding.
 
too bad all almost all there outerwear is 5,000mm. there AK and RONIN line are really nice, and the do make really nice goretex stuff that isn't overpriced.

he was probably just ignorant cuz he doesnt understand skiers' styles because they do differ from boarders not in a good or bad way just a way

burton stuff is pretty dope. and waterproof ratings aren't everything. I care a lot more about quality. Their materials hold up way better than most of the oakley stuff that skiers worship.
 
I don't really know anyone personally that likes burton, and most of my friends are snowboarders. It's all about k2 bitches.
