Burton skis

shut up...you don't know shit...i seriously love these kids who just say blantent statements like burton will never make skis. cuz they are...so if you ever wanna contribute something good to the forum then ok. but if you are gonna be stupid and say " burton will never make skis" then just leave. cuz they will. its gonna happen...sooner or later. it WILL happen. burton is a money grubbin company who still care about boarding but couldn't give a fuck about skiing. they just want our money. but its ok cuz half the skiing community will buy it cuz they want to be gangsta like snowboarders. but please do not make a dumbass statement like that again. and please get some spaces in your sentences cuz i'm slightly drunk and i can still make a good argument.

yeah i think i said that about the arg? i dont know if it was me who said something about k2, but i could have. its innovative that they brought it back...

i agree but still if burton makes skis and noboody buys them do you think there going to waste money makeing them season after season? and yes jake burton is a greedy s.o.b

one reason its bad for skiing.

JAKE BURTON( OWNER AND FOUNDER OF BURTON) PUBLIC HATES AND INSULTS SKIERS. so if burton does make skis it is in know way that they want to progress the sport, or make a difference, ITS SIMPLE BECAUSE HE WANTS A FEW MORE DOLLERS IN HIS CHANGE PURSE.

i dont know if brton goin into skiing would be bad for the sport....

lib makes skis now, kinda funky with that wavy edge thing thats popular in snoboards right now

That's pretty much it.

It is completely out of Burton's corporate strategy to make skis. If they were to even bother making skis, they would be under a new company name to prevent a confusing image to customers. I'd imagine that this company would be a complete off-shoot and not a subsidiary of Burton.

You guys should really give up on the whole Burton is making skis thing. Burton probably makes more in a year on their Analog line than the combined revenues of all twin tip sales by major ski manufacturers.

Im totally for it. Burton makes good boards (so Ive heard) so the skis should be sick. Mike Wilson has Lib Tech skis. They are sick! More snowboarders converting is a good thing. Viva la revolution!

ok get over it, burton sucks dick i had a ronin jacket and it teared down the hole seem and halfway across the back in a week from just... NORMAL SKIING, on top of that i messaged burton on myspace, and guess what they said no way in hell where the fuck are you getting your sources!!!!!!

my two cents, shane

Maybe largeness ripped the jacket.

Either way they make good quality hardgoods, my buddy has been riding a Custom since like 03 or 02 and it's still killing it. Either way, I think Capita should make skis.

ronin is legit...same with burton. i just think burton stuff is real ugly. don't bash on something becuase of a defect. they probably replaced it for you right quick

never mind what i said before in this thread, surface skis, which seem to be viewed almost unanimously as dope are made in the same facotry in austria as burton custom boards used to be.

ya, no they haven't replaced it because the store is in whistler and i have to get up there first on top of that if burton is so fucking good that shouldn't happen and neither should them making skis, they won't never will thx god

Any company that bashes on another sport, and then wants to make some money off of that sport, i say fuck you to that company which happens to be burton...

they arent as much of a sell out as burton is though, and they dont publicly hate skiers.

when i think of burton, i think of jake burton, who is a great guy. starting something new, on his own, that nobody believed in and making it into a HUGE sport. so i think of them as a good company and will always support them.

anything negative from snowboarding cannot be blamed on burton

i said it in the last thread but burton basically stole snowboarding's soul, it used to be underground and it used to be like a secret club if you were a snowboarder and thats what made it awesome, but burton overcommercialized snowboarding so now everyone's 10 year old cousin is sponsered by target or walmart, its stupid, they'll do the same thing to skiing. I think being made fun of by the aformentioned "pros" is a small price to pay for a little anonymity.

I'm pretty sure your shred history is off. it was tom sims that introduced snowboarding and made it popular originally, and sims wanted to keep it as cool sport for him and people like him before burton showed up and basically raped snowboardings soul buying out everything and everyone on his path to make some money.

but they do make some quality shit!

The history of snowboarding is too messy to even know who hyped it up enough, all those guys(burton, sims, etc) started doing they're snowboard thing around the same time.

Hellla funny how they drop all the skiers on anon and pull this haha im all for it tho, burtons got mad paper

if they do end up making skis id like to try a pair just to see how they are but i dont think id ever buy a pair. but yah if burton starts making skis id be all for it its just more money into the sport. i dont see why anyone cares either way just ski.

nike has already made it to skateboarding, they make the nike 6.0's.. I don't think it's the nike company that makes ppl like that tho

Burton was made for snowboarding just as line or 4frnt or only skis company was made for skiing...there should be a lline i think drawn also i doubt that burton would even make a ski.

Actually no, it would be a great idea if all binding's had the same pattern and there were slots in every ski. That would be teh best thing to ever happen to skiing. When Line did it, it was the best thing that ever happened to them, their binding just sucked. Rossi is now doing it, K2 is now doing it, and what are you talking about Burton bindings and Burton skis, that is not what the guy in the post you quoted was talking about.

burton does not like skiers. Did anyone hear about the Red Bull big air that was in NYC this year? well it was suposed to be skiers and snowboarders but then Burton became the main sponsor who gave most of the money for the event and they said they wouldn't do it if there were going to be skiers in it. Point made that burton will not make skis and they dont like skiers.

the whole point of sponsoring an event is to draw people in to buy your product.... its not that they hate skiers its that its pointless to give them money when they are not going to help push the burton product line
