Let's face it: Burton's been taking what they consider to be baby steps into skiing for years, and if they feel that the timing is right, and that they can get away with it, they're more than capable of dropping a ski into the market. Or just buying whatever failing "independent" ski company they think is worth buying and pumping it full of money. Shit, they've already done it in surfing with Channel Island.
