Its that time of year again!

Heres the email I received today:

Hey guys,

Happy New Year! Hope you’ve been having a great time in the mountains this year. We’ve been banging together this year’s Central Park Winter Jam and Union Square Street Sessions – I think you’re going to like what’s coming together! Without further ado:

This year’s Central Park Winter Jam will be on Saturday, February 9, 2008 from 12pm – 4pm. Festival atmosphere, fun for all, food, music (the D.E.Y., among others). The Rail Jam itself will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with DJs and flood lights. It’s bigger and better this year, with a 20’ high, 80’ long ramp, three features to play on from Mountain Creek, and special guests (oh yeah!).

Register now while it’s still open, I’ll be updating those who’ve signed up as we get closer:

Best,

Rory

yea i was actually gonna post a new thread on this. since i realized im terrible at skiing, i'm just gonna try to go to the Jeep union square street sessions rail jam with like 20 snowboarders or w/e. the Jeep rail jam (not open to public) is on thursday february 7th from 3-9 i think, and just seems like a cool place to hang out if you have nothing better to do.

waitt can skiers do this and compete? cause it was just talking about boarders on that website, cause it sounds like a lotta fun

im 13 and i must be 18 is that unless i dont have a parent or what. And are you sure skiiers can go to it. that would be pretty sick if a bunch of us came

I work in Union Sq (taking the rest of that day off) so im pretty excited for it.....Any word if any skiers will be there?

no skiers for the jeep union square thing, just like 20 snowboarders, but on saturday the 9th is when there's the open jam that boarders or skiers can go i think.

Skiers can def go, I did it last year and I and I know at least one other skier did it too. Just sign up and the coordinator (Rory) will let you know everything you need to know. I'd ski it again this year but I had knee surgery, but i'll still probably go and support the skiers and some other friends.
