Burlington Summer Rail Jam Feedback--bring it!!!

First of all, i want to give everyone huge props for hauling your tuki (plural for tukus) up from wherever you came from to throw yourselves into the gravel and mud! Thanks to all of you, I think the event was a huge success ...at least for a first shot at an on-snow rail jam in August in Vermont.

We had a great time, but I'm already working on how to make this even better. Some things are pretty clear, like we need more features (I'm thinking three to four off each side of the flatbed, and maybe more than one trailer), we need a better system for moving people through so you get more time on the rails (and less poaching), we need more astro-turf and more hay ('cause the gravel was a wee bit harsh....) and more shade for the crowd (and the snow, though we had plenty left). Oh, and of course more prizes and giveaways never hurt.

But, I am just one little me thinking my little thoughts, so I figured I'd open it up to you all, who really made the event what it was. What do you think? How can we (reasonably) make this even better for you? What would make this worth driving back for year after year?

 
Hey dude, I started a thread about b-town pictures, and you may find some feedback in there too. I didn't ski at all, so I can't help ya, but I liked that I got some gnarly fall pictures.

I waited an hour and a half for one god damn hit...If i got more time i couldve thrown down better than some of the kids in the finals...It was almost like who could get recognized by stealing the most runs with a few exceptions of course. But it was pretty good other than that.

^ exactly, i was so pissed baout that, i got 3 hits in with 2 hours, i was told by a kid with line (not mentioning his name) to cut, but i was like fuck that, everyone else is wait, it pissed me off.. theres was kids that hit it 6 times before i got one hit.. it was weird set up, and i think you guys can get some better rails, dont get me wrong it was super fun.. but if you wanted to take it to my house and use my rails i wouldnt mind, theyre a lot better

yeah, some sort of line method would be best, like maybe seperate lines for seperate features or something like that. all in all it was sick

Yeah I only got like 3 hits before the finals, that box ate me alive twice out of my three hits. Make sure that stuff slides and doesnt fall apart. I rember dropping in right after someone bolted the plastic back down with a screw driver.

oh and to top that shit off, an elephant ran over my dad that was awkward-bhill

if you do it near rochesteryou could have 40ft rainbow, 20ft flat, 30ft s rail, 20ft c, a weird rollercoaster too. itd be mucho cooler

you should try to find a place that has a natural hill to flat that would be a lot cool and more features and not tell as many people

yea gfa...something with a hill and not drop in...bristol has a perfect spot at the ski resort. like a 30ft tall steep hell thats flat on top and flat at the bottom nice for rails. thatd be cool cause levinthal wants to set one up around rochester

or u know how rome and line sponsored the sugarbush park? they should let us have one at the base there.

Anyway, a gas station we pass. We got gas, and ran off to get grub.It was a nice little pub in the middle on nowhere. Anywhere woulda been better. I ordered enchiladas and I ate 'em, Ali had the fruit punch.

 
line and siver should open a dry slope park...i mean, they already have a name for doing good things, they should get some backers and build the first dry park in america...

but if you just wanna do the ice rink snow again, ill be there, find a permanent spot and build that shit for a couple of weeks. ill help build it.

I didn't hit anything, but it was deff. sweet having a kick ass rail jam in august, the box didn't look thats great, so many people were wrecking. hopefully next there'll be more and they'll be better. Looking forward to it!!
