Buried Ski

I'm not really expecting any success with this, but it's worth a try. My brother was skiing some backcountry around Loveland Pass, he parked at Berthod Pass and skied down into the tree line towards the road. About half way down, he lost one ski (Icelantic Shaman 10/11 with Marker Griffon binding) under the powder on Sunday, February 20th. Again it's just a stab in the dark, but if anybody picked this up, please let me know.

same thing happened to me at whis but after like 2 hours of searching i found it.hope you find it because its like the most satisfying feeling.

loveland pass =/= berthoud pass
if you dont know the difference you sure as hell should be skiing either of them i dont feel bad, lucky you didn't kill yourself

He said it was his bro, so give him the benefit of the doubt... Still, which pass makes a huge difference haha. Also, you'll have better luck on TGR. If it's Berthoud, check the Berthoud conditions thread.

yeah, it wasn't me, i'm not really familiar with the area, but my bro said he skied loveland pass and parked at the top or something, idk why he said he parked at berthoud, but I'm pretty sure its loveland pass.

and i hate to turn this thread around, but i fuckin hate it when kids like you post shit like this, grow up, you first of all knowing where two passes are doesn't constitute how good anyone is at skiing, and second of all, it wasn't me. I'm just trying to help my bro find half of an expensive set up

get alot of people in a line and fan from one side of the run to the other with poles..... or wait til spring..... that sucks dude
