John18_6 Active member Feb 19, 2015 #2 10ft is a waste of money unless you have 2-3 people to pull you for a regular handrail. 20ft you can get more than enough speed by yourself for any normal rail. You get about 4x more speed for the work you put in with the 20ft than with the 10ft.
