Bump Button Idea

ok so when i have sales i find alot of the posts are bumps so i thought what if you had a button that when you clicked it would bring your thread to the top of the page. I figured this would make sale threads alot less crowded.
 
good idea, the first post should also be shown when you hover over a thread title so you dont have to click it to find out what its about
 
i think that this is a great idea, however it would call for a change in the forum this is how i think it could and should be used

1. Bump Button can only be used in buy/sell forum

2. Only Thread Creator can use bump button

3. the creator should be limited to a specific amount of bumps per day, lets say two bumps, that way more than likely their thread will remain on the current page of the buy sell forum

just my 2cents though.
 
Bumps should only be once every 24 hours, otherwise new threads get lost among old bumps
 
I don't really think that its necessary. I feel like posting "up" or "bump" works fine and is much easier to keep track/keeps the forums pages looking cleaner than if were putting bump buttons next to every thread.
 
That's why I would like a sorting system so you could change it from normal to most recent to oldest.
