ski bumming...fun or stupid? im in my first semester of college, and all i wanna do is quit and ski. Anyone else in this situation, or been in this situation?

well to keep it real I started being a Poser Poser. I dress and act like a poser, but i'm not really a poser. I just pose to look like a poser posing. you know just keepin it underground

i agree^^ but if you have an suv or big ass car its all good. You need a hella hella insanly warm sleeping bag and like 5 boxes of top ramen and a camp stove. it wont cost more than 200 bucks for basic shit all season if you stick to ramen and bummin off friends. College is way important though think alot about it before you do it. Oh and you have to have a beer fund..< very important

dont quit college to do it, get through school, THEN you can take a year off and be a bum. dont burn your bridges this early in life

 
$200 in a big suv, gas money? ive been in college two years and then took a year off. i ski bummed for a year in park city last year. found a place with a buddy for like $600 month, five miles from the mountian. got a dope night job and had a super fun time skiing every day. the only thing is with the work i couldnt travel much, but you really dont need to travel in utah, unless you want to compete. i ended up saving a bunch of loot, but i decided to go back to school this year. you gotta end up going to school sometime, ya know?

just half ass college and bum mostly. This keeps rents happy. It'll be 6 years put in when I grad in may though so think about that your smart friends will think you are a hippy loser while they have 9-5's and you are 23 (like I am now) and still in college and still obsessed about skiing. I skipped class again today, but normally never do unless it is for skiing.

If your not feeling school right now don't waste all that money to possibly fail classes. Bumming rules. I lived for three winters in winter park before going back to school and now I'm graduating this december! I skied 234 days my last year out there!! you can't beat that. do it man, you'll love it.

Heres what I did. Went to school 1st semester and quit 2nd semester when the snow started falling. Moved to a resort worked there and skiied all the time. Took some summer classes to make up for missing 2nd semester. Rinse and repeat.

yeah you park it in employee parking and just live in it, bum off friends for ride's
