To all you who still wax your own shit and don't pay $$$$ for a shitty "machine wax".

This season I have done a lot of experimenting with different types of wax's and different lubricants and other materials to eliminate friction, etc.

Finally I have a good combination that I can make a very large block (1-2lbs) that is a quality all temperature wax that I can sell at a cheap price. A few guys that I work with have been using it for a few weeks and are very impressed. We are in Indiana and have had a super cold winter and its worked great on the warmer days too.

One of this round blocks will easily last a season or more depending on how often you wax, but a 1.5lb (generally) block of wax is a bulk size wax without a doubt.

Right now I am looking roughly at $30-$35 dollars plus shipping, this may change after I do a little more crunching but if anything it will go down not up.

I'm not here trying to sell some fancy flurocarbon mixed wax that will make you faster than Jon Olsson. I use several different types of wax's and a few friction reducers, nothing crazy but thats okay because it works and most of you don't need that fancy shit that costs $15 per 60grams (.13227 pounds).

I am just wanting to get a feeler on if I started producing these

blocks if you guys would buy? Or should I stick to just making smaller

batches for myself and Park Staff I work on.

 
Why then you could just make it yourself kind sir. I think I shall keep it to myself for good measure!
 
I am going to do more crunching tonight, I'll get some pictures up tonight, and then I'll at least get set up with eBay and have it has a Buy-It-Now!

Here's a picture of my most recent batch. This block is about 1.25lbs. All my blocks are light red. When I get this set up and going smoothly if I decide to the blocks will be 1.5lbs (I was a little short on one of my wax's for this block).

As of right now I am looking at $30 a block + shipping as of RIGHT now I can do that. I am super busy with school, park staff, and working at Red Bull right now and I would totally be interested in making this a legit operation but as of right now that is just not possible but something I may consider in the future. I can however sell blocks per order and will be able to manage this.

That being said should I take the time to use eBay or stick with NS via paypal for now?

I'm not looking to buy any wax at the moment, but I probably will need to in the near future and I would definitely be interested in buying wax from you. the price for the amount kicks ass compared to what I'd have to pay for an all temp. wax from anywhere else. keep it up brahh!
 
I would totally do that! I'm all about saving and making a deal. But Indiana isn't really the capital of skiing by any means so I doubt I'd be finding much at goodwill lol.

And yeah a machine wax at a shop cost like $8 $-15 and it's generally a shitty process all the way around.
 
Oh ok,ya the Seattle area has lots of cheap options,you could literally live off re selling ski gear from the goodwill

I'll take some...I wonder if you could get a lab on a college campus to tell you what's in the fancy expensive shit then just make it for a fraction of the retail cost..
 
It's flurocarbon wax and that shit is expensive. Plus a bunch of other additives. But the majority of skiers don't need that. But should I mark down a block for you?
 
Ya for sure,I'll take a block.

I grew up racing and wax my skis every other time I ski them still,so I go thru a lot of wax..let me know how much to ship to seattle
