Building Jumps

it depends on where you live. If you live where you have a nice 4 foot base or deeper you can cut down into the snow and cut blocks out and pile them up then fill inthe cracks with top snow and its good. Living somewhere were your base isn't half as big as that just shovel a big mound shape it salt it pile more on shape it salt it and keep doing it. Make sure it is really packed and then you are good. Either way it is going to take a long time to do and isn't easy work at all

if you have access to some plywood put that on top of the pile then jump on it or i drive my atv up it. it packs it so much better

i have the best method. I have this hollow plastic kicker and we fill it with snow and pack it, then build like a sand castle...We just pile kicker onto kicker onto kicker until its big enough.

After school yesterday for about 5 hours, four of my friends and i built a pretty good jump, we had four recycling bins going and we just make a rought sketch of the jump, we made it a lot bigger then we wanted and then just pad down the snow so its really compact, its prolly about 6 and a half to 7 feet high, we're building the landing today, ( 3 inches of snow mind you in Illinois), its pretty sweet though, and don't forget to build it wide
