Building a rail and box

I was planning on building a rail and a box for myself and my little backyard terrain park. I was wondering if there's any special surface that works the best on the top so your edges don't get caught and its all good and professional. Thanks.

lexan costs a lot so be ready to drop your pants, im using plexiglass for my box because its free for me

u can use pvc, can be really cheap (as in free) if u look around construction sites and stuff, otherwise it doesnt cost that much. and slides well

is it possible to get sheet metal or some wood with a special wax. I really dony want to throw out alot of money for a box in my backyard. I want to keep this project under 50 bucks.

 
all you need is some weed, (so youll actually do it) a meatal saw (electric powered is best(faster)and a car with a large trailer attached to it. you know what to do......

yea I can get the wood for free. But I need the material for the top is what matters. These parks rails are all too fancy for me, Im going to end up just making it out of wood and putting a metal sheet on it...

u can find lexan for like 60-70 a sheet for boxes, but that is like super high quality. besides metal, pvc is awesome for backyard parks

PVC all the way man! i've used that shit for almost everyone of my home projects or projects with friends and its never failed on me. def check that out if you want a strong material that wont have u stealing money for your mom to pay it off.

Get a 4x8 sheet of masonite at home depot and spray paint can of polyruthene. Its under 20 bucks and slides like a motherfucker i have a rainbow and a flat with it.
