Building a long board

anyone tried it?I've been looking into giving it a shot in the future.there's lots of tutorials online and they make it seem pretty simple, but I'm not sure if I'm going to get into it and have it be simple or have it be impossible.

my friend has but I havent personaly dont think it was too hard...he layered it with a lot of layers and spent along time waiting for glue to dry...but haha

after a month of building the thing with his dad and like a week after he finished.. hes like hey check how well I made the flex on this, starts hopping on it and it snaps in half we were like 12 and he ran inside all teary eyed, funny now looking back but I felt for him when it happend

I have made a "proto" board, just to see if it would work out ok.

I can post some pictures tomorrow.

thats pretty much what happened to my friends too haha
he made another one, and it's about 3 years old now, and doin fine

ive made 2 boards and they both came out alright. just get 1/8 inch plywood and layer it 3 to 4 times and use wood glue to keep it together. put a weight on top of the boards so they are pressed together when the glue drys. then after it drys cut out your shape. drill some holes in it and put some trucks on and your all good. theyve lasted about a year and are doing pretty well. my one friend rides the one a lot. my only regret is that i wish i wouldve used better plywood. i used birch because thats what everyone said but its to weak. the boards are a little to flimsy but still do well.

^bingo, just read silverfish and you can learn pretty much anything you ever wanted to know about board building. That's how i learned.... ill post pics of one of my presses if you wan to see that.

would love to see it.mainly wanna do this cause Im not to stoked on my current board and my brother says making one wont work
