Building a Box

I want to build a box over the summer for use in the winter and I dont know what to use for the slidy part. I plan to just make a simple box using 2x4's and such. Any tips on what to use for the slide would be great, and price if you can find it. PM me with info or just post it.

searchbars slide pretty good, but becasue they are so "hard to get," plexi glass is great (expensive), lexan is greater (expensiver) and puckboad (the white stuff one the sides of hockeyrinks is fairly expensive)

pvc is cheap and breaks composite decking is a lil more expensive and you get your edges stuck in it, otherwise be ready to shell out some dough

well people have sayed search bar, and its free.

if you dont have the bones to get hdp or lexan or puck-board, just go to your local rink and bost some free puck-board

my home mountain had a box one year that worked really well...the top of it was just a piece of plastic cut to fit the frame of the box....when i heard this i though, "wow thatll be a piece of shit", but it actually worked really well so i recommend going in that direction

i just built one with a one inch HDPE top, which made the box really really heavy, but it's sturdy as hell and slides amazingly. And of course, you gotta love that searchbar.

i think the best way is to line up 10, one inch PVC pipes together to make a virtually flat surface that slides great and is cheap. (about 15-25 bucks)
