Back then, I was banned for writing fa___t .. so now I was censored for subsequent comments after first writing hea______ing in my 2nd comment .. but really it's probably just a bug, right?

I tried uploading a photo from both my laptop and phone and it's just stuck in "uploading" status despite me having picked a tag, title and it being a 1.8mb image
 
I have a sighting of an old bug.

On PWOYM, the page numbers indicate that I am on page 1282 and that is the highest page I can go to. However, I was directed to page 1283 by My Threads, and the most recent posts are in 1283. Looks like a counting error.
 
when i view a thread using the my threads link in the top bar it now takes me to the very first post on the first page of the thread instead of the last unread post in the thread.

We deployed the biggest update in history to the NS backend today, going to be a few bugs to iron out, thanks for the report.

Yeah check eheath's post, there's going to be a few bugs.

We're working on a fix for the threads/alerts issue today.

Not sure if it's a bug or not, but I just realized that you can no longer click on embedded photos to make them bigger/full resolution.
 
this may have been posted before but

I'm browsing NS on mobile while listening to spotify in the background. Whenever i load a new page, it pauses my song and the autoplaying ad takes over. Is this supposed to happen?

No this is a new thing which we're trying to figure out. Haven't gotten it yet, but we're conscious of it.
 
Haven't been able to see new thread replies. I get alerts in My Threads of new posts, but when I click the thread link it takes me to the "last" page of the thread where that comment should be but only the original post shows, no replies at all. Happens on phone and comp.

Aye just saw Bishops post about NS being screwy from updates, I'm assuming that's what this is

Yeah there was a bit of a train wreck that happened for a few hours last week. It would have broken a few posts - so try keeping your eyes out to see if its still doing it for you. If you made a post / got an alert in that window, there's a chance the post just got lost in an enormous database upgrade.

*should* now be working.

PWOYM still isnt working for me...gives me reply updates but when i click on it the latest reply I can see is sconnie talking about edge cracks...i even replied to him i think....but those arent showing up

Well it started working now...but it was a post from a day or two ago...just wouldn't load any more replies after his even though I was getting notifications that people had posted there. But it's fixed so we chillin

Big blowup with the database, so the problem should be fine now but what happened then is just lost.

Sorry. :)

We're actually doing some research to see if we can do anything to help the search bar.

maybe just me but if i go to "my threads -> created threads" it dont work right, just takes me back to regular my threads

Were totally overhauling this right now. See if it corrects itself by tomorrow and if not then please repost.

Thanks for the browser/OS combo. Most issues are nearly impossible to track down without this.

still an issue for me.

Clicking into my threads>created threads shows nothing. But if I click through my profile it shows all my threads.

Ability to edit still there, but I can not delete threads for sale items I have sold.

I'm not sure if anyone else has posted about this in the thread but... Some people have quoted me and when I go to click on their quote from my alerts tab it just takes me to the thread without any posts on it and I can't find their quote. I'm not sure if I explained it well enough but I hope you get the point.
 
What's up with the gif icons? I tried remaking mine. It's a tiny bit better but it still scales weirdly. I've noticed other people's icons show up weirdly too. It looks fine in the top-right of the screen though.

It looks like my 50x50 icon is in a 84x56 rectangle with 6 pixels of whitespace on the bottom and 34 on the right. It then scales the rectangle down to fit the 50x50 icon slot and appears squished. Any way around this?

It looks like something is wrong with generating thumbnails from GIFs. Somehow the canvas size is getting messed up. We're about to migrate our image thumbnail tool, I'll make a note to investigate while we're doing the migration.

CJ, I've tried to replicate this and my links work correctly. I've also checked some of your Alerts and they seem to work correctly as well.

Can you point out one alert in particular that has this problem? Also, please let me know where you clicked it (header, Alerts page, e-mail)?

Hm, it seems that the reply count is correct on the Post Whats On Your Mind thread, so I don't know why you'd get a blank page. Anybody have a link to one of these "ghost pages" you could send me?

It takes about 10 or so posts on a new page for the posts to show up. I can post in here when it happens again

That thread is 1329 pages with 12 posts on the last page. Shouldn't the real number of replies be 66412 instead of 66404? That's 8 posts off, not too far off from what Hugo was talking about. I remember things getting a little messed up when there was a nuke option for mods. Could that have anything to do with it?

You are partially correct! However that thread has 8 deleted posts, which is why you see that discrepancy. Deleted posts still count towards the number of posts on the page, but aren't displayed.

AH, I think you and Malcolm may have stumbled on the cause. The deleted posts count towards each page's post count, but may not be considered when counting page numbers. I'll check into this.

Scratch that - as far as I can tell it seems to be working fine. I'll really need an example link to dig in any further.

Hey all. I've been have some weird issues on mobile recently, specifically with ads and pop ups. I on safari on iOS and I will run into an issue where I can't scroll past an ad. As I scroll down the thread it will always pop back up to the ad.

Second issue is an actual pop up. When I first open newschoolers on safari I'd say that 5 times out of 10 I get a pop up saying that I have won a free iPhone or 1000$. You can not do anything except for click okay or clear safari because it is an iOS pop up, and it takes you to the usual sort've pop up scam website.

I have tested all other websites that I visit including other forums and it seems to be exclusive to ns.

Also, this is not the App Store pop up from a while back. I will screen shot next time it happens
