Bug Reports

I'm having some trouple with the NS Video Uploader desktop app. I've tun into the same problem downloading it on friends computers and the same thing happens to them when they log in and try to upload something.

Very strange, the page background should still be white like before. Looks like your browser has the incorrect CSS cached for some reason. On NS press SHIFT+F5

Cant post a screen grab as upload and embed doesnt work. On both the old header and new header it doesn't work for me. I'm on Safari, iOS 9.3.1

I tried this on my mac and doesn't work. Still have the gray background. Any help anyone?

After like a few days it swapped back to the normal background for no reason. Idk why tho

Yeah its likely a cache issue. It *should* correct itself in a day or two, but we'll review everyone who is having this.
 
NS has been very slow for me loading certain sections of the site. Most notably the Cult Forum but also loading notifications. Every other website I use is normal speed in terms of page load times. Also, my News Editor thumbnail won't load up after "Apply Crop".
 
Loading threads from the My Threads drop bar is often really slow for me - enough to make me go to the the appropriate forum to find the thread rather than waiting for the one I want to load.

In threads? Yes it has been taken away. Still available on video/photo/news comments

The upvote/downvote concept was based on using them for future use, rating threads, arranging posts, etc. These features are never going to come to fruition, so we decided to do away with them because they just encourage people to downvote instead of post, or to downvote someone they don't like constantly, other abuse etc they just did serve any purpose.

if you agree with a post or dislike a post, post about it! these upvotes/downvotes were never intended to be a sign of agreeing or disagreeing with a post, which was basically the only function they served and we'd like to see you guys post, not just hit a button, get what we're saying?

When I highlight a word while typing a reply with the editor on and start to type over it,

his happens (highlighted "this" and re-typed it).
 
Mobile site is really frigged up, I don't know technical terms well but I think the formatting is all screwed. Anyone else seeing this? On iphone
 
Just curious had you thought about removing the downvote and making it only upvotes (think facebook "likes".) I still kind of miss the voting system because I thought it was a great way to acknowledge views on posts (as well as up/down)

We are aware of this bug and will be fixing it as soon as we can.
 
When I try to get on NS via my home wifi I just get the "Whoops! File Not Found" page, but when I use my phones data I am able to access it. Not sure if this is a bug or some sort of ip ban, but if that's the case just let me know.
 
On mobile, when I go to type a reply the text box jumps all the way to the top of the screen behind the black menu bar so I can't see what I'm typing. Or if I'm typing something then need to move the text cursor to fix a spelling mistake or whatever it jumps to the top again. Pretty annoying.

Would there be a way so that the text box only jumps to just beneath the menu bar?

this is a known issue, it had to do with our new DDoS protection, we are working on this and hope to have it fixed asap.

we deployed a fix, can you guys confirm if you're still have issues or not?
 
My messages wont send, and the message icon keeps telling me that i have a new message when i have viewed and replied to it like 15 times....

had the same issue but now they started working again

huh yeah this actually makes sense...it always happens to me at 9pm too.
 
I posted 3 replies in this thread but none are showing. I may have been banned, though. I really only wanted to make 1 reply to FIS, and incidentally replies can only go 3 levels deep, not 4.. so that could be a feature request. Was I banned?

Also, is there any way to verify that user FIS is actually someone from the FIS?
