yeah, its true, Buffalo was dumped on by a record amount of 20 inches last night. Winter is coming fast, hopefully it will hit NH next.
 
^ yep they sure do lucky bastards. i went to school out there and if it gets dumped on highways get closed, roads are closed its fuckin awesome.
 
dammit!, why does northen new york get all the love, why can't it snow in long island now. heck il take 20 inches in albany, dammit!!! i just want to ski already
 
im a little north of niagara falls in st. catharines... which is near buffalo, and it snowed like crazy but melted before hitting the ground

all the snow at my house melted already but downtown buffalo is realy fucked. there is no power.
 
yeah i live in rochester, penfield and all we got was maybe some flakes and a good frost...hey this is the only time new york will have more snow that whistler!
 
holy shit, i live right across the lake and we defintely dont have that much, it has been snowing a little bit tho. its good for october at least

That was an extra credit on my test today because my teacher is from buffalo. I got it right.
 
buffalo has a flood warning now. daaaamn i wish i could have seen that shit. Thunder snow dont happen too often.

It is rough. 350k+ people without power. they won't have it all back until tuesday at the absolute earliest.

Something like 50% of the trees in the whole city are either severly damaged, or just completely down. You are talking 20+ inches of super heavy, super wet snow, in a metropolitan area, when all the trees still have their leaves on them.

That was taken last nite. Only halfway into the storm. The governer of NY is likely going to issue a state of emergency.
 
Its due to the lake effect. Right now there is a super weird pattern with the jet stream. A strong low pressure is rotating at all levels of the atmosphere, bringing dry cold air all the way from the rockies to the east coast. the lakes however are still warm and are evaporation rather quickly. when the amount of water evaporating from the lakes hits that cold air, its a recipe for a dumping.
 
fuck i know me too. last year, it snowed a a heel of a lot and i was so stoked becase the next day, i had en exam. tuned out i had school and was pretty much the only school in montreal that did. it was not cool at all
 
thats so gay,, im about 30 min away from bufallo and got nothing,, just on and off fluires, that squal just missed st. catharins..

b.. what the shit......i live in rochester, 60 miles away, and we got about .5 cm on cars, nothing on the ground.
 
i live in the middle of buffalo and right now theres still about 350000 people without power and probaby wont be for a while there is also a water shortage so we have to reduce our water intake rite now...most of the snow is melted and theres more of a risk of water damage and stuff like that now...
