Budhies Episode Four

Whats up guys, the last video of the Budhies Project that Dean Bercovitch and I did this season just came out and we are deciding what to do for next season. We haven't had a ton of views this season and are wondering if that is due to the webisode format being played out or if it is the fact that it was filmed/edited by skiers instead of cinematographers or maybe that they were too long. I just wanted to crowdsource some feedback about what the community wants to see from edits because I felt that we had some good shots and good vibes. Let me know what you guys think, we will be putting out some rad content next season regardless but I'd like to take into consideration any ideas you guys have. Cheers,

-Ian

Would recommend people to watch all episodes, one of the best series in NS that is not by big name skiers or companies.

Mr.Bishop, give these guys orange name, they deserve it.

Changes to be made:

shorter

Imo not necessary. There is so much 1-3min park only edits, with tricks from start to end that for me yours stand out for being unique.

better editing/filming

Filming and editing has improved so much from episode one, its on point.

more frequent videos

Well if you can find time to make more in same format i would not mind.

less b-roll

More? Its the people and their personalities that give soul and vibes to good series.

I think here is the biggest thing you can do, fill your edits with more stupid stuff, background for the places you go and more random stuff that happens in your travels.

go harder in the paint

lol you guys are crazy already.

more lip blind 2's

I think "You-Know-Who", "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named", "the Dark Lord" got that covered

Keep up the good work and your chill episodes.

Thanks Vissi, We honestly filmed a ton of b-roll that was never used simply because we wanted to keep the edits relatively short. Glad you enjoyed watching, we have had fun working on filming and editing and next year should be even better.

IAN,

I LOOOOVED THIS. Seriously, you and Dean are beyond talented, and such a cool crew. Was stoked to see Vine's shots as well.

If you ever want to do a quick NS profile or interview, hit me up on facebook, or let me know if you ever find yourself in Bozeman.

Luv,

Sammi

I honestly have never heard of budhies until i came across episode 4 and i was blown away, it was unbelievable. It definetly deserves hell of alot more attention. But the reality is there is so much content put out its hard to draw large amounts of viewers. Then again there are only 50 memebers online right now.. not much traffic during the summer. What i think could help bolster your viewership is talk to bishop about possible promotion, you have the crazy ass talent.

But my main idea is with how your last episode played out.. it was all skiing shot after shot, which is dope, but people see sooooo much skiing, i really enjoy videos that mix in like conversations and funny things our moments. for example instead of just showing dean triple backflip, im sure there was a great moment that led up to him doing it, and his thoughts/stress before dropping, to me those times are really interesting to see, and seperate it from a basic ski video, with your skill in filming and skiing i think you could fill that gap, im struggling to put thoughts into word, but pretty much people like to see shots of people talking, or shots of gapers and funny things it adds to the video.

I think the episodes are great, maybe a little more diversity, like throw some big mountain shots in here and there. You can see immense progress in the skiing and production quality over the first few episodes alone. Other than that just work on marketing. You gotta get the hype and publicity of edits like the faction collective and slvsh. Unfortunately I don't actually have any idea how to do that. Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback guys. More funny/broll is a good call, the shitty thing about hype and promotion is that it is mostly money. We are just getting the funding to travel/film/eat so it is tough for us to pay for ads etc but maybe next year. Glad you guys liked the videos, thats what it is all about. Thanks for the support, next season will be sure to have some bangers!

Always wondered why these haven't caught on more. Keep doing what you're doing for the most part. A few tweaks I would make:

-shorter episodes

-more frequent episodes

-more interesting music

-feature other riders more often (like the c-van cameo)

-more intriguing editing, less filler

Other than that I think the show is great, have either of you entered into superunknown at all? I know Dean has a slvsh game out there but your names aren't really talked about much on the site which might turn some people away

Woah That was a good watch, it definitely should have more views. Ians rodeo5 with that wtf grab, that shit was so fire i replayed it like 10 times.
