Buck Hill magic carpet

now imagine what would happen if they put all that time money and effort into building a half way decent park.

screw skiing im just going to ride that thing the whole time.

but seriously most of the people riding the bunny hill will be little kids and they will be too scared to ride that thing if it goes up into the air like that. kinda crazy.

I think its a SUPER bad idea. I have run both the carpets at hyland and i will tell you kids fall down all the damn time just standing on the thing and when you stop it and start it again 5 more kiddies drop. this thing gets one massive FAIL from me. buckhill you are truly the dumbest ski area end of story.

the thing is crazy...i mean they say the bridge will be inclosed but who are they goign to have in teh bridge making sure people are falling hah i don't know...a nice chair lift would have been better.

and yes just think if they invested that money towards a park....damn.

As long as its enclosed its sooooooo much easier to maneuver lessons on a carpet than on a tow rope.

Sure the kids fall, but they arent going to fall off. Beginner kids on the tow rope is a total nightmare. Buck instructors Im sure will be thinking of this as a blessing.

Besides, at least if they fall on the carpet, they arent likely to take out the 15 people behind them.

its not like a normal magic carpet. if a kid falls in the enclosure they will clog it and its not on the ground so its not like the kids can just get out of the way. if one kid falls his skis will get caught on the wall and the kid behind him will hit him and then youll have a pile up and they are going to have to stop it and have someone run up into the thing to clean up the mess. sounds smart to me.

This is my cartoon bubble that is going on

Ours was elevated about 4 feet off the ground with about 1 foot on either side and sometimes it would be closed in with 3 feet of snow on either side and would have to be plowed out. We never had a problem. yeah kids would fall, but seriously, its not like the fall and are instantly stuck. And if they are a kid, they will either be with their parents or an instructor who can handle the problem.

Our magic carpet on a good day...

If I can get a 60 year old asian woman that has never done a sport in her life to go down a run safely, you can get a 5 year old to go down safely.

I couldnt use the towrope for a full year when I started; my dad had to carry me every time. Now I can ski pretty much any run. I was sooo freaked out by the tow rope. Any time I would fall I wanted to go back inside. Magic carpet would have made it so much better for me starting out.
