as mentioned before, it totally depends on the type of binding
to be sure, screw the heelpiece all the way forward, measure BSL and screw it all the way back and measure again, this is the BSL interval that will still fit the binding, but also keep in mind that when putting bigger or smaller boots in your binding, you're adjusting only with the heelpiece so the mounting point will change, more forward (with a smaller bsl than before) or more backward (with a larger bsl than before)....
