Going up there for New Years, but dont know which mountain to ski. Which is better overall, better park, less crowds?

stratton better park, bromley way way way less crowded, about same all mountain wise when it comes to terain but i think stratton is a little biger

bromley is offering 25 bucks for a lift ticket midweek.

stratton requires smart card for park.

bromley usually doesnt have their park set up unless they get some real snow.

stratton is good if you like paying $72 for 1 lift ticket, but the would definatly have better park as the season moves on, as of now i'm not sure who has better park

right now bromley has a box and a small table and absolutely no crowds at all even on weekends

stratton has 2 parks

one with 2 small tables and 3 small rails

the other with a 25-30 ft followed by a smaller jump and then you can hit a butter box, short down box or down rail and then they have a mini pipe and i think theyre working on opening the power park

so now stratton is looking way better but with like at least 20 times the people and expenses

yea if you want park dont go to bromley thats without saying. But if we get dumped on like were supposed to I would hit up Bromley over Stratton any day. But then again if we really got dumped on I would hit up Magic over Brom. Much better vibes from Bromley than Stratton though.

Stratton no doubt. Even after a dump I'd go with Stratton because there is nothing at Bromley (at least there's a couple ok runs at Stratton) and the park at Stratton is a 1000x better than Bromley. But Skoedo nailed it, if it snows drive the extra 10 min to Magic!!

I'm gonna bge staying in peru for the week too, and I personally pick bromley over stratton almost all of the time. In the past 5 seasons, ive probably skied bromley about 75 days and stratton 3. If i really want a different mountain, I'll make the drive over to okemo or the hike up to sugarbush

all im going to say is that you just need to get used to skiing after 12-1 o clock and just bring a pair of clippers and a ziptie

I didnt mean it was closed this year but i trhought i remeberd 3 years ago when they were in the proses of being sold and the lifts were alll also so old they had to replace allot of stuff.

bromley is so chill

its one of my favorite mountains

there park is pritty nice after they get a big dump of snow and they have some great glades. DOnt use the marked glades though, just follow the locals and you'll find some sick shit. Stratton is way to expensive.

the locals at brom are much cooler in general. last year i skiied there a couple of days with my friend jon and his friends who are all part of the Bromley Outing group and they showed me a lot of unmarked stashes and the like

haha tru dat. I ripped brom brom since I was a lil grom but was always a BOC hater. Jonny D is a good cat though. A few chill heads over there but some huge tools as well.

I have an obvious bias as a Bromley local, but I don't know why everyone bashes it so much. There is so good terrain you just gotta know where. The east side is fairly challenging. And the park is subject to some neglect, but its not that bad and is very lappable. I went to Stratton and thought it was for the most part pretty flat, but I also didn't know any where to look. As for John D, I haven't seen him yet this season at Bromley; he must be riding somewhere else.

there is some sick glade riding between havoc and pushover. Same with in the woods near lower bolevard. I pretty much know every single little place on the entire mountain

im going up there xmass so if u want to pm me were the good stuff is its cool with me. i have been a few times so i am not knew to the area, i jsut dont know were all the onoffical trial are

yea it deff gets kinda old unless u practice skiing switch all the way down runaround or if teh park is opean and decent

stratton has some really nice stuff, like the trees off of kinderbrook. It's also alot better if you park at the sun bowl instead of the main base.
