Broken society

In my world history class I am writing an essay. The essay is about three wandering scholars who have to fix a broken society. fictional or nonfictional. The three scholars are a Buddhist, Confucianist and a legalist. While trying to get ideas for the essay someone said that I should just write about the skiing society. This made me think about whether or not it is actually broken. The more I think, the more I come to realize that our society is riddled with drug use, discrimination, segregation, theft (organized and unorganized) and no one really tries to fix anything. Is our society really broken or am I just thinking way to hard?

please go into more detail about the organized crime that goes on within the skiing community.

Skiing society or regular societY? In the US, we totally have a broken society full of terrible role models, immoral human beings, death, crime, and drug abuse. in our skiing society, many of us have become scum bags, although we were formed on a society of self titled ski bums, our godfathers of freeskiing had class, they kept a relatively clean image, aside from skiing and the things that go with. We can see today that the mountain and sport are riddled with scum bags, and not the classic type, but I will argue that this is just how society moves along, we are following an image in the industry. Maybe we aren't maybe we are, i don't think its a yes or no question.
