Broken Nose

So I just broke my nose in my soccer game on Sunday on some kids forehead. First time breaking it.

For those of you who've broken your nose before, how long were you out of sports? What did you do for it when you came back?

Shit.
 
it didnt take me out of any sport. and there isnt really anything to do to fix it other than poping it back into place or plastic surgery
 
depending on how bad it is, your nose is going to look different, mine got thinker kinda
 
I broke my nose twice in one week once, best friend punched me and then hit the deck of the pipe with my face. I collapsed my septum and had to have a nose job so i could breath out of my nose again. I was out for about 5 days< i think the dr said more but i went at my own pace, after surgery, you have to sleep sitting up for 2-3 nights so you don't swallow shit loads of blood. After that its just like a bad headache. if you didn't break it bad enough to hinder your breathing permanently, leave it alone and you will be fine.
 
haha evan thats hilarious. good luck with the nose. Didn't you fuck up the other kids whole face though?
 
a lot of basketball players play with broken noses all the time. Depending on how much you wanna spend or whatever. They can make these face molds that goes over your face and protects your nose. You can still play, it might hurt a little, and you look like a big goof wearing it.

 
That's really weird. On Tuesday in my soccer game I collided with another kid going for a header. They thought I broke my nose, jaw, and maybe my cheek, but thankfully nothings broken. I've just got a really bad concussion.

i played soccer about a week after i broke mine, i just had to wear one of those clear face masks, like richard hamilton.
 
on a similar note, i too broke a bone in a soccer game - my thumb. on sept. 4, i think i might have broken it, it is now the 15th and it still hurts..but i CAN bend it, so i dont think i broke it..any tips?
 
evan, i dont think its just the swelling thats making your nose thick...its just broken like that.

ps. did you mack that bid tonight?
 
mines alittle bit crooked from when i broke it like 11 years ago when i was 3, so it grew taht way and kinda straitened out alot, you cant tell i just can cuase i live with it
 
ha, so listen to this. i went to an ENT yesterday, and he said that my nose was broken before the soccer incident. funny thing is, i have no recollection of ever breaking my nose, so ive had a fractured nose for several years. the soccer collision just knocked the already fractured bone out of place.

im pumped thoug, cuz im playing tomorrow with no mask or anythging. still hurts like a bithc thogh
