Broken griffons, replace w/ jesters?

Last season this happened to my marker griffons:

so now I need new bindings. I loved the llight weight of the griffons, but the amount of squeaky noises they made under pressure made me nervous.

So here is my question, is this piece metal on the marker jesters? or should I look for a different binding, and if so, recommendations?

Thank you very much for posting pics.

1. Yes, that piece is metal on the jesters

2. That squeaking noise is considered a defect and they will warranty it for you.

I was sooo worried about that happening so I got Jesters. I wasn't sure if I was being paranoid, but I guess that piece DOES break.

thanks sierra for answering my question about the jesters and informing me that the squeaking problem is covered under warranty, but I'm done with ski gear warranties, they blow. I got the threats last year because I thought they would be just like my old 1080's but they sucked. Long story short I broke three pairs of threats, and then they gave me suspects, go figure.

oh and B-runge, I haven't had any real trouble with my suspects. I mean the glossy top sheet is pretty much covered in scratches and I do have the usual chips on the ends of the ski but that's it really.

I've been riding the same pair of jesters since they came out in 2007 and I haven't broken them or anything. They still feel way solid.
