Broken Collarbone question

i broke my collarbone on Saturday and the doctor said 4-6 weeks until it's healed. It seems like almost everyone on here has had a broken collarbone and i was wondering does that mean like in 4-6 weeks it will be fully healed and i'll be able to ski pretty normally? i am most likely gonna chill until then and i've been makin sure to get a bunch of calcium and vitamins so that it should heal as fast as possible. any help is much appreciated

i skied on mine i just put it in a sling which got the ladies attention but just was takin it easy krillin

uhhh are you getting surgery?
my brother broke his collarbone a few years ago during christmas and was out the rest of the season.

I was told when I broke my collar bone that the healed one would actually be stronger than the broken one. 4-6 weeks should be safe. 8 weeks it will be strong as fuck.

i think all colar injuries are dependant upon the person. i broke mine and have skid a few days but am still really sore. its been 6.5 weeks and the doc said 4-6. rest up and be careful. i wish i would have waited a bit longer. good luck my friend. i know how you feel

Wtff I broke my collar bone 3 days ago, seems like everyone is breaking theirs. Bump for more info

++ vibes to you

Thats not true, once t heals it will be thicker and stronger than ever at that spot. That takes longer than 4-6 weeks though, it will keep getting stronger for about a year.

i broke my collarbone and collarbone joint (the part that connects the bone to the sternum or whatever the fuck it is) and i skateboarded on it and fucked it up more back in the day. Now the bone always pops out of the joint and it looks all fucking weird.

doesnt hurt though.. so whatever.
