Broken Brakes

Alright, somehow in the last two days I've managed to break both my brakes off my bindings. It's fucking ridiculous. Anyway, what the hell do I do? I'm terrified I'm going to kill someone if I eject at a bad time. Our park ends at the bottom of the mountain, so it empties into this huge area of milling people.

I've got PX 12 Jibs by the way.

I feel your pain! I broke both brakes simultaneously one day, and another two days later. So freakin' irritating!

Anyway, I just bought a bunch of spares and keep them in my gear bag at all times.

The worst part is, every one that I broke was a result of my stupid Markers pre-releasing.

How do they fix them though? I mean they broke out of their mountings, all I can imagine them doing is trying to glue them back in. Hahahah, doesn't sound too durable.

my friend broke his brake so he took it off. when he got to the mountain he realized his boot was too low in the binding. he ended up putting sticks under his boot to get it to the right height haha he had to replace them everytime he ejected. so whatever you do dont take them off your skis. try asking around at your mountain, ours has a big box of brakes they were going to give my friend but none fit.

I know how you feel i broke 2 brakes in a week earlier this season i just cranked up the DIN and took it easy on the hill until the new brakes came in

I just did it myself, I found an old pair of Salomon bindings with wide brakes sitting around, took the brakes off and put them on my PX's.

Thanks for the help though everyone.

I broke the breaks on my jesters twice already. I went to backcountry.com (the outlet here in SLC) and picked up 4 new brakes. $70 but its a really easy switch out, just 2 screws. Not that bad, and now I always have an extra set in my car or bag when I go

same here, stupid marker 11.0 free was always releasing in the park, especially going switch, then doing some 180's over the jump it released at the very last second and my boot landed on my ski, then the brake flipped over forwards snapped laong with the heelpiece, so glad i got warranty

i know 5 people who have broken their brakes of px12's or something equivilant to that (axial 100, axium 120, dynastar 120)

its $20 at my shop to get a set of new ones, you cant just buy one. but if your lucky they might have one that fits in stock

theres your problem. the m series is the lower level plastic bindings. get the 12s if you need that din range. more durable

dude same! i have rossi worldcups, which are the same thing as the looks more or less with the turntable heel, and the brakes both broke off. i took it to the shop and they said "either send it to rosse which would take a week at least, or use a strap." so now im like a snowboarder, have two technine straps strapped together, one end hooked on my boot, and the other on a part of my binding. its so ghetto

i broke off my brakes a few weesk back and shear off the connection between the brake and the heel piece on my rossi axial 120 so i put my old axial 100 heel piece on my skis
