Broken arm

i broke myy humerus the other day and the doctor says it will be 6 weeks until i can ski again. However, nI always heal faster than they say because the times are for 60 year old women. If anybody else has done this, how long did it take you to get better?

i have often wondered if the time they give you for recovery is just a huge number of days past what you really need cause its not like they would give you just the minimal days. it seems like they would guess way way way passed that number. in my opinion.

I broke my arms and was in casts for 8 weeks, but i started skiing at about 5 weeks! I couldnt do much cause my balance was totally thrown! I also had really bad breaks, i broke my arms in mulitply places, so maybe you will make a quick recovery! on the brigfht side its the end of the season so you wont miss out on so that skiing!

i broke my radius back in june playing soccer...i was in a cast over the summer and finally was able to go back to soccer in early september but the doctors decided to let me back too early and i broke my ulna and radius again it was bad forearm at a 90 degree angle and shit but then i got surgery and havent had any problems since...my advice to you is to take it easy and not rush back in cuz if you do you can wind up hurting yourself again worse

they don't like to leave casts on longer then they have to... because if you cant move your arm you're sft tissues shrink and you lose movement. which is never good...so thats usually the number of weeks it should take on an average person. but theres no reason not to ski with a cast... i'm doing that for another 2 weeks.

then again some people heal faster then others so maybe it will take less for you.

I broke my humerus and im in a brace for 8 weeks. thats when the doc says Ill be 75%! then i gotta wait two more months before i can do athletic shit again. I dont know broken yours is, but mine is snapped in half

PROTECK YA NECK!

a doctor told me this rule of them. if you break a BONE. Bone has 4 letters, thats how long it shoudl take 4 months. If you tear a tendon, that has 6 letters so 6 weeks. Now just remember the vet told me this when my dog broke his leg, and it was meant for my dog, but I don't see why it won't work for us

i broke my wrist last year, waited about 5 weeks and then skiied with a cast and everything was fine. but it was really hard to grip my poles because the cast went from my thumb to my shoulder
