well today started awsome local mt had gotten 25in of new snow first snow in a month and my dad was like lets skip school today and go skiing so we did the snow was great jumps had a good 34in of pow on the landing (not park) so i was practiceing my rodeo 720's and backflips all day landing with ease and ofcorse on the last run of the day a snowboarder hit my jump eats crap leaving a huge bombhole where i land i thought nothing of it cuz people had been doing it all day so hit the jump geeze a rodeo 7 lined up perfict for the landing land on my feet but from about midsole of my boot back lands in the hole and i just crumple hit my head on my knees go flying about 20 feet and there i am with a broken back like the third bone up in my lumbar section is cracked in like 6 places good news is i can move my feet and i was able to walk about 50 feet from my car to my room after i was done at the hospitel wow i cant spell right now and what i think sucks the most is i had a ski trip planned to sunvalley spring break

ya im so glad theres no nerve damage wev found so far the only things going threw my head when i was laying there was if i could move my feet witch i could and the story about that kid in washington that broke his back last year hitting his head on his knee and died out on the hill

That really sucks . . . It will heal although you will never be the same. I've broken mine twice. Compression fratures Thoracic Vertebrae 6, 7, and 8. I still ski and hit some good size jumps it just hurts like hell if you land in a flat.

sucks man, i offer my condolences. but if your feeling down about it, just look at the brightside, since you can feel your toes, youll probably be able to ski again like new.

and forget about curing broken bones, thats pretty easy, i mean most breaks can be healed up perfectly these days. howabout spinal cord injuries. thats a huge unkown in medicine.
