British soccer

i mean im not completely counting chelsea out or anything, but the decider is going to be whether they can win the big games against the best teams this year, and i dont think they can...i really dont think theyll be in the top 4...but it's a looooooong season
 
Winning big games is only party of it, IMO any of the bigger teams can beat eachother on any given day regardless of form. The decider for me is consistency, something the ''smaller'' teams struggle with because of depth amongst other reasons.

Chelsea probably have the most depth in the whole league, more than the other teams of the big 4. Teams like Man City, Blackburn, Newcastle and Everton don't have the same depth; that's what I think will make the difference.

The big Chelsea killer though will be the AFC. I think we can hold down the midfield pretty well in the absence of Essien and Mikel but who the hell is going to score goals? Sheva? HAHAHA, Drogba (and Kalou even) will be sorely missed up front because quite frankly I don't think Sheva or Pizarro can carry the load.
 
yah did drogba decide whether he was going to stay yet? anyway, i guess we'll see. liverpool has the most depth though when 7 guys arent out on injury, theyve practically got two starting lineups. theyre not playing well right now, so that's kind of a moot point. 
 
chelsea has good players, they are fun to watch, cool colors...i mean its the same way people pick their favorite teams in any other sport from a city they arent actually from. cut us slack. im sorry, i just like watching them play.

and top four will happen.

Tottenham gets dirty. I know that their performance so far this year doesn't show it, but when they are on their game there is no steezier team in the premiership...

tottenham = trash. jol is an idiot. theyll spend the rest of the season exactly where they are now, at the bottom of the table.

but for real, who saw arsenal being this good? adebayor has been insaneeee.

They aren't trash. Look at the numbers before you rant: Tottenham is 3rd in the premiership in scoring (17) behind Arsenal (21) and Portsmouth (19). However they are 3rd worst in the league for conceded goals with 21. They obviously have a dilemma with their defense. As far as Martin Jol goes, I won't comment, I feel that any judgement I might have should be reserved for the end of the season.
 
what you guys need to do is get jol and robinson out of there, then you might have a chance. you made some pretty stupid signings over the offseason too, darren bent is really paying off...

Arsenal no doubt even tho it may be hard for them comin up this month b/c Van Pierse is out for a month. Fabregas is the most amazing player around right now in the EPL. Liverpool I feel this year is the only other club that is sick as hell. Torres is amazing one of the best midfields in the game, and could be better is Babel wasnt playing shitty. I hate man u so i will never say they will win even tho they have an amazing team all around.
 
Chelsea just DESTROYED Man City! Looks like Essien and Mikel are finally getting to that next level and Lampard and Drogba are killin it as usual.

I really hope Drogba gets top 3 in FIFA player of the year, I think he deserves it.
 
That game was ridiculous. I really liked City before this game but they just shit the bed. Also, I want Schmeichel back in net right quick.

Oh and the penalty save at the death in the Portsmouth - West Ham game was fkn ILL!
