Heres some footage from the British freeskiing championships, pretty good for a country with no snow!

Any thoughts and comments?

Heres the Big air and pipe in the British freeskiing championships in laax-

Remember there all pretty young, ages 12-18, so they got quite alot ahead of them.

yeah, nice guy; and Webbo is a legend too.

Can't figure out who was trying the double lincoln in the slopestyle - anyone?

eggs benedict!

The kangeroo attempt was that kid Andy Longley who was on another thread, he's so hot right now,

Actually think he is in Hood at the moment so if anybody see's an uknown kid killing it and hes brittish its him.

Laax.

The British Open is a hilarious event. There are some good skiers but there are also a lot of horrible skiers like Paddy Graham.

Oi dave, this event is run by the orginisers of that ^, Its just kinda the 'World cup' of it not the tour, and it in Laax.

damn that double lincon hurt.. i couldnt ski for 2months, blew all the ligaments in my right shoulder. i'm not in mt hood yet i fly tomorow! will be reppin the uk on sunday

Theres a lack of halfpipes inside the uk,infact i dont think there are any! Thus the riders not being so great at it because they can only train when they are away.

i was on the chairlift the other day with two of those guys in the slopestyle video.. jamie longley and andy lawson?? they are so damn hot, i wish i was as cool as they are

really? i thought it was joe murrell like the other guy said. w/e. one of the guys looked like mike clarke cuz of his outerwear but it was another guy.

lmao wrong. It was Joe Murrel.

on topic, some sick stuff in there. Try saying afterbang with a british accent, it sounds goofy

fair enough,

but honestly there aren't that many in NA either. I can think of 3 in western Canada I've done a total of 3 runs in a pipe in my life so you do not have my sympathy.

the uk dose get a bit of snow but most of these people will never use it..... they'll grow up in a snow dome or skiing on carpet. then eventually move onto skiing in France or new Zealand when or if they get a chance. so the ones who do get good usually stay out of the spot light. but for the people who depend on the winter snows in the uk they find the season is very short and the park set-ups are privative at most. but every year the set-ups get a little better and a bit more money trickles into the sport so some new rails can be bought or a comp can get a bit bigger. i usually stay out of the uk parks and build my own bumps. but i find when i go to Europe i have a better time because i can appreciate it for what it is and how lucky i am to ski all over the world. i find your skills leep forward cos ur like FUCK A SHAPED JUMP OR WOW A PROPER RAIL SET UP, IM USED TO BLIZZARDS AND DRIFTED IN RAILS!!! but they vid showd some tallent i gess.... and i hope they stick at it.

but a shout out to the uk park architects who do there best with what they got and take alot of shit, they shure aint building the parks for the money.

No, 2007. And to the guy above me ^ there are actually about 5 or 6 places up north around the lake district and the penines that have lifts, very small lift and nothing but lifts and afew runs with no park, atleast the sport is growing inside england.

Let me give you a good way to sum this up for you north americans,

Skiing to us is like drinking real Tea too you,

I'd love to see your 2007 FreeTea Drinking contest vids so i could put hate on them for no reason apart from the fact your limited to what you can get.

I'll serve yo ass like Jon McEnroe at tea drinking.

So... i may come off that i don't particulary like Andy Longely, in that stupid thread he made baout someone being the hottest shit, come on face it, it was stupid.
But i respect him hugely for being one of the best young skiers in the UK, i also hope that everyone hating realises that these kids are 15-18, Woodsy is like 15 or something isn't he? and he kills it hard.
And to the guy who said alot of no grabs? serious? maybe in pipe but the slopestyle?

I wish I'd grown up with the way british freeskiing is at the moment. Everyone just did racing when I was young.

Where are there lifts / runs in the lake and peak districts?

Fact is for Brits to comepete intrenationally we have to overcome ridiculous barriers like no snow. Paddy Graham, Murray Buchan, James Woods and all those guys who have competed at events like The european open, 9 knights etc are killing it, but it's seriously unlikely they'll be able to compete with kids from countries with snow and parks.

The lifts-

http://www.ldscsnowski.co.uk/index.html- Raise, lake district, 1 lift, lots of hardish runs

http://www.ski-allenheads.co.uk/- Allenheads, pennines, 2 lifts, easy runs

http://www.thepriceofcheese.com/- Yad Moss, Pennines, 1 lift (longest in the uk),varying difficulties of runs

Harwood common (website not found) - Harwood common, pennines, 1 lift, afew runs and a natural halfpipe, also a little park

http://www.skiweardale.co.uk/- Swinhope, Pennines, 2 lifts , biggest area in the uk, runs to suit all abilities

Although its all good above, its only 1 or 2 hours from there up to scotland, were theres much better skiing.

Word. I think there was one or maybe two days when I went to my home mountain last season when the park wasn't actually buried.

Has this spawned from jelousy? Did one of us come over to your country and take your girfriend or boyfriend all because they like our accent?

We might have shit ugly genes, but unlike you i have the correct amount of chromosones.

Bahahaha! English motherfucker, do you speak it?! I find your insult hilarious given that:

A) America has, by a fucking mile, the highest obesity rate in the world. I swear every time I go I am genuinely astonished by how fat people are.

B) American chicks absolutely dig our accents [/claim]

C] There is a pretty high likelihood your ancestors were British. history?
