Definitely not hashtags, HOWEVER.. I think "tagging" people would be very useful. On Hypebeast rather than quoting something extremely long you can say for example "@JStrathern...." and write a reply to their question/statement, and they get a message in their inbox saying someone replied. That way long quotes don't take over threads but you can stay reply to stuff.. I think it's a pretty good idea

The idea of tagging people MIGHT be "neat."

But I think this goes back to a discussion that happened maybe 2? months ago. That there should be a notification when you get quoted in a thread that pops up in your inbox. Now that, I would support.
