Bringing cameras to ski camps??

so i have a canon 5d OG and was wondering if any camps like windells/camp of champions would be okay if i brought it?

now i know im sure i would have no issue bringing it, but what about using it for film/photoging pros?

is that okay or are they not going to like it because they has staff that does that?

thanks for any anseers, its appreciated!

Bring it anyways, I don't think they would care. The thing I would worry about is it getting stolen.

they won't care as long as what you're doing doesn't interfere with what the camp/company filmers are shooting.

i brought my camera to windells a few times to film friends and it was always fine. if youre going to film pros you probably want to talk to them first so you don't come off as creepy.

^^thisjust talk to them, a camera is often a good conversation opener and sometimes they'll even help you get good shots :)

No you can't.

Also interested in bringing my Contour or my bro's T2I to Copper.

GTFO

This is the most invalid source.

He paid for camp he can bring whatever he wants.

Splice is an idiot, why even ask.

LOLz I was jk. Hahaha I hope you are joking too. Agreed for Splice being an idiot, hahahah.

Wow, you really think I'm that stupid, look I even posted a post making fun of Splice when he said that in the Splice Trailer thread, BTW I know your trollin' but I'll keep feeding you.

We all know you're just trying to fit in, but please... PLEASE... just stop. Before this blows up. He wasn't kidding, though.

If you look closely in the camp fine print, you can see that for $2000 dollars, you actually aren't allowed to bring your camera...sorry!

Hey best buddy!

with all your feedback i am trying to bring my brothers 550d (t2i) and possibly renting a glidecam from somewhere like borrowlenses or something

would this be an issue follwing pros (more or less given by their permission)?

how do the camp hired filmers film? all follows and just film everyone? i just wouldn't wanna piss anyone off

Just talk to the filmers about it.

At Windells, we'll be doing all sorts of filming. Follows, posted up on knuckles, etc. If a camp filmer is shooting a feature that you want to shoot, just ask the filmer about it first. If I were shooting a feature and a kid wanted to ski through my shot to film a pro, i would probably be down to let that happen a couple times if he asked me beforehand.

Geeze, the past 3 years I've gone out to Mt. Hood while my kids have attended Windells. I've taken numerous pictures, of pros and campers alike, not thinking anything of it....my bad??? I'll probably do it again this summer. I don't find it creepy at all. I just admire the sport so much, and capturing amazing action shots are charished memories for me.

8 quote replies on my posts in one thread, that must be some kind of personal record! You guys make me laugh.

I have a quick question and didn't feel like making a thread. Should I bring my gopro to windells? Would it be fun to get some shots or should I just leave it at home

No just leave it at home you would want to catch any of your progression after spending 2000dollars on a camp with coaching from pros. That wouldnt be fun at all.
