i didnt follow your link, but i saw you mentioned the plastic housing thing. the problem most team riders have with their bindings is the fact that the plastic parts break, usually the plastic components within the steel track. that's why salomon introduced the STH bindings (stands for steel track housing). the housing that was once plastic is now steel, so they wont break as easily. i know thats salomon, but most binding companies are trying to address that same problem.
bottom line: long live pivots, the only binding i ski
