Bringing back the draft. Thoughts?

No. Fuck no. NO human should ever be forced to fight. EVER. Not in any situation.

Why the fuck should every citizen be involved in a war they didn't start? I can't believe this thread even happened.
 
Maybe if the war came to our shores, but I dont see the need to send drafted citizens overseas to fight wars that arent here. If my country and love ones were directly in danger because of it I would 100% be ok with the draft. However rather then be drafted I would likely enlist in the marines, rather then the army.

That being said, if there was a draft over something really stupid, that I honestly believed wasnt worth my life, and I mean really redic. Like Obama declares war with mexico and a draft or some shit. I would defiantly be breaking out my polish citizenship papers.

(Funny story, my friend has citizenship in like 4 different countries cause his family is filled with the biggest liberal idiots ever. Theyd ship him away the moment a draft would be mentioned)
 
-In no situation should a draft EVER happen I don't care if we are invaded or it's fucking WWII.

-To people already in the military who say they are all for it, surprise surprise.

-If I were issued a draft notice, I would burn it and shit on the ashes. I would flee to Canada somehow, and if I got caught, I would go to prison with the pride that I had the COURAGE to do the right thing, instead of bowing to a shitty government and going to a war I don't support.

Mandates don't really fly in America. We are not about making people do things against their will here.

Therefore I say we should make impose a tax on all those eligible to fight who refuse to go to war. That makes it okay.
 
Biggest reason that the Draft will never happen in the same capacity it was during Korea, Vietnam, and before, is because the next time it happens, they're going to have to enlist women, or else there's going to be some serious backlashing on the part of a lot of dudes.

If any president in the future institutes the draft, I will sue the government to high heaven (along with pretty much every other penis clad dude) for mens rights based on the fact that if women want out of the kitchen, they're also going to need to pick up a gun and groundpound with the boys in the event of a draft.

Equal rights means equal everything. You can't pick and choose, bitches. We aren't just here to make the first move, pick up the tab, AND pick up the gun... There's no way it's constitutional otherwise.

And you know, that if that sort of thing ever got into courts, it would stall any war draft before it even started. Womens groups would flip a new one and hooooly fuck there would be a domestic shitstorm in such an event.

Problem solved. No women. No draft.
 
Yup. I'm also for non-universal healthcare, as long as the politicians don't get state-paid for healthcare for themselves and their entire families and the rest of the people don't.
 
I have my own gun thank you very much. If somebody invades my country ill gladly fight back, On my terms, get jihad up in this bitch. If my government wants to enforce a draft to invade somewhere else, ill be staying in the mountains on my own.
 
Damn hippies thinking that our nations can thrive by relying on all peace and no war. Yes I agree war is horrible however I would prefer to live in a country where people fight for the freedom of themselves and others over a country ruled by a strict fascist government.
 
i say that if we go that far and i get drafted (which i dont see any time in the near future unless something drastic happens) ima break a bone so bad i gotta get a metal pin or plate put in. problem solved no draft for me
