Bringing back the 7?

I hadn't done 720s in park all season, until last week i tried one and i went a little off balance and overrated to 900. Then i tried it again and landed on my side? How can i stay straight up and down? set it softer?

If you keep your hands out in front of you and watch the whole thing with your eyes and spot the landing youll be back to sevens in no time.

controlled inrun to the jump, steady pop with a steady spin, dont try to overcook it take your time with the rotation. if you go big enough you should be able to float it out and itll come around nicely.

pressure on the forward part of your boots to avoid a back seat landing. also i really stress paying attention to your shoulder position:

say you spin left, you really wanna get your right shoulder coming forward, almost pointing downard, to balance out your spin. this will keep you on your axis.

freeskiing is like any other sport. isolate your mistake and develop a solution that is the exact opposite of the mistake

I disagree. You can't spot your landing at 540 without looking over your shoulder the wrong direction. Spot at 3 halfway through the rotation then keep your head turned and continue rotating.

yeah you kinda have to feel it out. i mean for a 5 you should spot at 3 then twist the extra 180.

for a 7 you kinda quickly spot at 3, and keep up the rotation with plenty of time to open it up as you come around again and look to stomp it

How big is the jump? Are you leading your spins with your head?

Are you just setting it and forgetting it? Im guilty of this, where you throw it and expect the gods to somehow bring everything to a perfect stomp.
