i agree with you on one thing, the reffs this stanley cup. yea its "more intense play" and the best teams but all the missed calls are bullshit.

not really a big fan of the sport, if its on i watch. But tonight was a crazy game. got a little intense at the end, but thats what makes the sport great.
 
i fucking hate detroit but they should've won, the third period possession must've been like 20% pens 80% wings, i mean they were just pounding the net at the end, it should've at least gone into OT. that being said i'm still stoked for the pens but detroit outplayed them

fleury took someone out with a slash to the back of the leg and everyone looked the other way, the guy wasn't even in the crease
i also saw a hit from behind on detroit that wasn't called, the refs call nothing in the finals, i remember in game 6 there were so many penalties that weren't called
 
Yeah, that was durring the game. Not after the wings lost. I know the pens won. So thanks? And I don't live in Det I live in a wealthy and visually appealing suburb, so it's ok to me that most of Detroit is really ugly. I don't go there very often other than sports.
 
i dont think many people go to detroit for "funzies" other than sports or a job, thats one sketchy town
 
Most people who have never been there say that. It actually has some very nice areas. Many quality parks and restaurants on the river. Plenty of theaters, art museums and sports arenas in the very down town. I'm not saying its a nice place by any means, but not completely shitty.
 
my brother has been to detroit for lax and he said that he would hate living there. He said all of the suburbs were boring and filled with strip malls
 
And history finally does not repeat itself as this is the first decade where a team hasn't won the stanley for cup 2 consecutive years. This makes me glad seeing the salary cap making somewhat of an impact as it seems the skills differing each team are evening out.
 
i used to live in Michigan... everyone outside the Detroit area hates the rich 'burbs more than the D itself. living in said "wealthy and visually appearling suburb" is nothing to be proud of.
