90% of the places i go backpacking are in national forest land. i don't want them to log them out. i could care less about the timber industry. fuck you, bush has reversed almost every environmental policy enacted in the last decade. fuck him and fuck you.

you guys could buy wood fro mus canadians, but for some reason the US has imposed some restrictions that make it unworth it to sell to the US. that list sounded a little off to me, i personally don't see how some of those things can be good or bad. They are just events and someone declaring something cannot be judged, but their actions can be.

 
Crystal needs a park you make bush out to be the end of the environment. Sure hes pushing to changfe some regulation on the clean air act. BUT... some of the regulations are ridiclous plants having to pump out water into the rivers so steralized that it is 100% cleaner than the water its pumping into. Waste water not being able to have more than 7 ppm iron in it when the dirt its pouring into has 100's. Im totally pro- enivornment but the clean air act is pretty old and needs to be revised. There are plenty of more evil anti-environmentalists than Bush. I did a report on Utahs enviornment to learn the governor was opening lots of protected lands to logging and polluted industries. Granted not all bush's environmental policies are fantastic but most arn't bad at all. You people need a new scapegoat honestly

Oh and as far as global warming goes, it is natural. The earth has a tendancy to increase or decrease tempetures. That is why there are ice ages. We can't do much about global warming, and we aren't causing it, so stop whining.

I think I'm perfectly able to make these judgements... and you sound a bit hypocritical seeing as how your president is allowed to install the governments of other countries. About the lumber tax: Bush's taxing of our lumber is based on the fact that 'it's not fair' that the whole north of our country is owned by the country, therefore anyone can chop wood off (of course, this is a very, very large summarization of the regulations of wood-chopping, etc...), so he taxes our wood so that it costs so much more for us to export and our companies close, leaving many jobless, etc.

Technically, if we would work on this 'it's not fair' system, we could tax every agricutural product that is produced in winter (i.e in Florida and California) that we can't during that period, because 'it's not fair' that we have a longer winter, and every agricultural product that we just can't produce (oranges, for instance) in mass numbers because of of our geography and climate. Sounds so dumb, but that's what Bush did.
