Brighton's park

is it any good? i was there a few years ago and it was pretty good, but no big jumps. whats it like these days? i hear it has a lot of good jibs. is it good enough to skip pc altoghether?

I might get hated on for this buttt..... brighton's park is shit. The mountain is sick (millicent lift rock gardens etc) but the park to complete doo doo. The jumps were the size of the jumps in pick n shovel (shitty and small) and the "BIG BERTHA!!!!!" jump measured in at roughly 20 ft with zero pop. They do have some creative fun jibs but it is maintained poorly and a lot of the set ups are sketch. (going into an up box the jump collapsed underfoot and I hit the box with some force) But let me say that it is a great powder day mountain that doens't get tracked quickly. OH! and its very hesh there. Very Very Very hesh.

dont think the park at brighton is good enought to skip PC altogether if you really into park skiing but id say that brighton is the best to just go and shred at between millicent, the park, tree runs and great backcountry access within a 20 minute hike. i think you would regret not getting a brighton pass. dont listen to the haters.

you can find other threads with my rants, but in a nutshell, everything is built horribly, and they don't spend any time maintaining it, which I just see as the crew being lazy. I don't think they could possibly actually be that BAD at building... I don't think that's possible to be that bad.

its true... i mean i will love brighton till the day i die, and i will continue to buy a pass there soley because of millicent and the amazing fun/snow/terrain that it provides, but their park crew sucks a really huge donkey nut. laziest and most unmotivated crew of knuckledraggers on this planet.. (to bad Hayden only worked at Brighton like once a week this year) next year, im going to be very tempted to plead with brighton to leave a few shovels around (especially in candyland), because if it takes me 5 minutes to rebuild a shitty lip, it would be so much more worth my time..

it's fun to take a few laps in like....once or twice a year but i couldn't imagine riding it every non-powder shred day.

Yeah. Like they all said, shitty park, fun for pow/BC. That place has so much potential to be the most well rounded ski area in Utah if only they pulled it together for their park. They have an entire run, top to bottom dedicated to it, but use the space poorly, and the set ups are just dangerous.

Also, I hate the management and most of the employees. They just do stupid shit and get you in trouble for the dumbest things. I've heard/seen many cases where they threaten to call the cops if they see you on their property, just for something minor. PC wins, or even the Canyons.

i whole heartedly agree with you... but i just can't get enough of milly... it sucks me back year and year again... and i feel as though i still have decades worth of exploring left to do...

I agree. If there were some longer top to bottom runs I would consider putting up with the rest of Brighton to keep exploring rock gardens, milly and the surrounding BC.

i really don't know why but having it be dark when you're shredding their park makes it like 10 times more fun.

Hahaha probably because there's like 10 times as many awkward comments that just make the whole night halarious

yea, it's pretty much amazing how much pc maintains everything, you're constantly waiting for the park crew to get out of the way to hit something cuz they are so on top of keeping everything sick and not giving mangen hand jobs in the legacy lodge

only skied there pre and post season.

totally looking forward to getting a pass there this winter but I'm also getting a pass to pc of course.

seriously, what the hell does that even mean? Rape, i mean in no way can that be a good thing, i'm sure you're wishing you're in prison so someone can make you their bitch and that can happen everyday to you, but seriously, using it as an adjective.......
