Brighton.

yea it was dope, there will probably be enough tomorrow to fix stuff up the inruns were metling and getting kinda sketchy but there was plenty of snow sitting around to fill them in. just be sure to bring shovels!!

just got home from Brighton, there was i flat box and a mail box, and a flat rail. I was only doing the flat box... need to work on 27s

It was decent. They pretty much have every rail they own up there.... They're all so cramped, heavy, etc. that you can't move them around though.

I came got up there around 430, 5ish. I had to go to work first, but I was rocking the brown orage jacket, black siver pants, spks, and old fujis.

and of course my blue G tall tee.

^true. pretty much everything small enough to move/setup is chained. a few of us tried to set up one of the unchained boxes and they drove up and booted us out before we were even set up. they said they weren't letting people hit their rails preseason this year, something about vandalism, garbage, and lack of respect of property or something. so yeah, that sucks.

well atleast i didnt miss out on anything today but...

thats soo lame

anyone else up there?

umm... not that this is doing anything to help with the stoke, but we had two boxes last season which were drug down from the top of picknshovel and in the process the lexan was ripped in half. like not snapped off, but tore right down the middle. that wasn't a cheap fix when you put in the labor and materials to fix it. maybe something happened at brighton last year or already this year that has them guarding their stuff now...

anywho...

SNOW! the season is almost here...

(horrible attempt at getting you excited?)

^ from what they told us, it was the combination of stuff like that, plus i think they were just pissed off about having to move everything back and clean up peoples trash when it came time to start blowing snow and grooming and shit, and apparently someone smashed out one of their truck windows last year. it would be cool if one of the resorts would leave a few rails out for us to session, say under the circumstances that we agreed to clean up everything and put shit back at the end of each day, and give management like a few peoples names and numbers who agree to take complete responsibility for everything.

i talked to jared about it yesterday...basically, last year there was a ton of damage done. pretty much all the glass - mirrors, windows, etc. - on the dump truck was broken. apparently people didn't realize/care that they actually use that thing. also there were a bunch of windows broken on the old lift shacks in the junkyard. and, on top of that, people broke in to the snake creek base station. so they were understandably not very happy about that. also, stuff up there is stored in a manner that it doesn't get in the way when the groomers come out and start doing work, but kids always set stuff up in crazy (albeit fun) ways and don't clean up after themselves. so to prevent $500k groomers from hitting and getting damaged on buried boxes/rails/junk, people like jared have to go up and clean up everyone else's mess. and there's more....last spring, people actually used brighton's jibs to build fires (yeah, pretty retarded), and of course, the recent grafiti incident, wherein somebody wrote things like "Armada," "Technine," and "4bi9" on the freshy repainted rails. now i don't know who was actually responsible for it - the 4bi9 kids deny it and maybe they're telling the truth (though they seem more likely suspects than MFM and Tanner), but whoever you are, here's hoping you blow both knees on the first day of the season, for screwing the rest of us out of our brighton preseason.

i should add that jared was really cool about it and pretty obviously wasn't happy about having to kick people out. he pretty much told us we couldn't jib the snake creek stuff (junkyard included) but that tree jibs or rock jibs or certain other things were fine, even pointed out specifically where we could find good stuff.

If anyone hears anything please let us know. You do know that anyone of you can walk up to a building, and spray paint Volcom, or Line, or anything.... Doesn't mean said companies should be held liable. We're not stupid.

alright lets be reasonable here. Why would any of us tag a box or rail but now only with 4Bi9 but with technine and armada? I think that is enough proof that it wasnt any of 4Bi9 right there, I hate the fact that we are getting blamed for this. as rich said anyone can go up with a can of paint and write whatever they want. that doesnt mean it was us!

it was probably a bunch of junior high shit heads that just think its cool to tag stuff. Im not in 4bi9 but it doesnt even make sense why. they all love skiin too much to screw it like that.

i guarentee it was not the 4bi9 kids, they are not that stupid to tag there own logo. but if we find the person or people lets burn them at the stake

haha, some kids at my school today were giving me shit about my 4frnt hoodie because they thought that 4frnt was doing the tagging and I had to explain to them that it was 4bi9, but they were framed and then they were trying to tell me they are gay and I explained more and then I told them fuck that

I will rep 4bi9 clothing just to piss you guys off because you are stupid

I really would.

Same. Even all the way out in Bountiful, kids are blaming 4bi9. And that is when I say, If it was 4bi9, why...in the hell, would they spell their own crew wrong(4b9).
