Brighton as of now

you buy a brighton pass because does pc have millicent? no. go skiing with the kid youll see hes fabut yeah i just love that people hate on brighton like its fucking shit while in reality id say its the most well rounded resort around here.
does PC have cliff or even get good pow? no. Does alta snowbird or solitude have parks? no.

hahaha this is too funny...Don't you guys see that your hurting Blaow's feelings, I think hes silently weeping in front of his computer. Calm down man, if Brighton isn't as superior as PC there isn't anything you can do about it except get a Park city pass next year.

i have a PC pass, are you seriously saying that PC gets better snow and has more cliffs faces and access? cuz thats just flat out wrong. Jupiters fun but pails in comparison to milly. its like comparing Guru to some fucking whack ass dude like dmx. haha yeah im balling out behind my comp, i just dont understand how you scumbags cant see it.

PC has 3,300 acres and a 3,100 foot vertical drop. This means it has more access and is steeper. It has four different terrain parks, 15 lifts, and 106 runs. Statistics aside, the park gets mention in all national park reviews, brightons doesn't. Brighton is fairly flat and though it has a handful of good runs (milly) PC's are just as good. How about you get a pass to Alta and find out what real skiing is.

I don't understand why Brighton riders are so defensive of their resorts. I kinda can understand if you are a snowboarder, but not if you're a skier.

If you still don't understand, read a resort guide.

theres no question that PC is a larger resort and that they have more parks/ bigger parks. but i still fail to see how someone can say that Jupitier or any terrain at PC is as sick Milly/RockGardens/backside of Great western. Its a fact that PC does not get the same snow that Brighton does and there are no where near as many rocks in Jupiter as milly. plus the fact that it takes 3 to 4 lifts to get to Jup where as you can park your car about fifty feet from the liftline up to milly. and yeah alta seems sick yet it is too exclusive to allow me to enjoy it. but i dont hate on it because of that and certainly dont come on here and start bitchin about it.

haha I'm a brighton rider and I don't get defensive at all. I agree that they can't keep a park for shit. but I still love it

hahahaha..and I love that he calls everyone scumbags because they don't like the way brightons park is set up.

Wasn't the whole point of this thread about how brighton has a lazy park crew and needs to improve their park situation. So what does the rock gardens and Milly have anything to do with that. No one ever said PC gets more snow or has better cliffs.

the thread went in a different direction bro. im just puttin in my opinions about why brighton is a better all around resort than PC or any utah resort for that matter.

So you bought a PC pass and a brighton pass? Why would you do that? Wouldn't you get a much better spread of terrain by buying a PC pass and a alta/snowbird pass? You speak of brighton being the best rounded mountain, but yes you still buy two passes? I feel if you could afford two passes why get a place with decent amount of terrain and a shitty park and another with a sick park and just as much decent terrain. I guess if you could only afford once pass brighton might be a choice, but like other said, pc has just as much terrian on jupiter and mckonkys'(sp) as brighton has on milly.

i really dont understand how the fuck you can say PC has better rockfaces than PC. plus snowbird and alta get tracked. if you know your way around you can find stashes at brighton days after a storm. Tell me about a better cliff line at a resort than the rock gardens around here, you cant.

This thread is redonk, all the resorts down here offer fun stuff, each having advantages and disadvantages. Debating doesn't really get you anywhere, as i think we've established. But eheath, your gonna have to forgive me if i don't take your advice on what makes me better or worse.

Ok so brighton have some cliffs you can hit oh say a couple times a week MAX, when you could ski alta and hit cliffs there then go to PC and hit a flawless, HUGE park. You're logic is just not making any sense to me here.

This thread is fucking stupid. You guys can't just critique or offer suggestions... you have to make things personal, as if someone is in the wrong for having a personal preference. Chill. It doesn't affect us at all.

A couple days a week? we both know your just talking out of your ass. I don't see why your making it into such a competition. Brighton and Alta both have sick cliffs, same snow, similar terrain. If any place stands above the rest as having truely superior terrain, its the bird, but that place is a zoo on pow days.

the thing everyone is missing is that all the resorts being debated are big utah resorts, and therefore are all sick as hell and lots of fun. stop bein stubborn evan and let em go where they want, if everyone in utah skied pc/alta the crowds would be insane everyone mountains gotta get some action.

We have people in the ticket office telling people that Burton is designing the park this year. I don't know where they hear or why they start a rumor like that, but Burton doesn't build, design or have a say in the parks.

i know i know. but wait, are you talking about the park city ticket office cause i'm confused? if ya, then i really don't know what peeps talking in your ticket office has to do with anything. i'm not talking about the park this year. i'm talking about a completely separate park similar to northstar's "stash." i heard this rumor last spring/summertime and not in anybody's ticket office. i know burton doesn't design or build anything but they would more be in a position to sponsor it. that's all i'm saying

i was just thinking too....this may be good too cause then the park crew could keep being lazy and people could hit more natural-type features that probably wouldn't need to be too well maintained. ya?

Well, ya. the stash was built by superparx i believe and sponsored by burton. 2 years ago the offer was made in utah but it went to northstar. and yes i was talking about my ticket office, just because the thread was going in the burton builds a park kinda way, just had to type in my two cents, even if it's infringing on a brighton thread.

carry on

so how about the actual condition of the mountain? park/coverage? coming home at the end of the week and hoping that last storm did brighton some good

the last storm brought about 40 inches i was up there yesterday and it was fucking deep. 3 +feet of pow ontop of nothing pretty much. mad people were getting stuck and shit. the park is looking alright, just rails and boxes though.

relax dude... better cliff line...forbidden zone..... and like any resort I know where my stashes are at the bird.... quit hating on LCC...

nah yo i understand that snowbird is dope and has more/bigger cliffs than rock gardens. its just that at the bird shit gets tracked whole hell of a lot faster cuz of mad traffic im sure you are well aware of this though.

the coverage is good because of all the snow we got but the park is super weak. I was just there saturday and if a box/ rail wasn't buried completely it was like 2 feet off the ground with no lip up to it. Definitly the worst thing u could ask for on skis. It wouldn't be so bad if the rails were down but they are basically flat with no lip.

pow was great...but you were defending there park. don't change the subject now.

oh yeah, and there park was not looking alright today, it was beat to shit.

haha yeah but how can you expect a super dope rail situation when it has snowed almost 3 feet in the past couple days. hopefully all of this snow will help get my o my on its way to having some jumps.

Well Brighton doesn't give Jared alot of cat time, as of the last i've heard. Which should change because the park can eat up alot of cat time when you try and properly maintain it. We have grave and swing shift, so when it snows, someone in the morning goes through and puts a groom on it. And it's helpful to have guys that shovel the first 3 hours of the morning and then goes to take some runs...
