Brigade vs S3 bc

hi, this season i intend to ski 50% bc, 30% park and 20% pieste and have been deciding on skis for a while and have narrowed it down to last seasons rossignol brigades or this seasons rossignol s3 bc skis (which i can get for the same price). if i go brigade i am getting a 178, 98mm underfoot. If i go s3 i am getting 180, 92mm underfoot. Having never skied a fat ski (have neen on trouble makers a few years) i dont really know what difference will be between the specs. The only other difference the specs as far as i can tell is that the s3 is wood core where as the brigade is THC core. Can any1 tell me how they think the skis differ on the mountain, and which would be more appropriate? cheers

the brigade is basically this years s5. they did change the wood in the ski to make it snappier, but if you want a really solid more powder ski, go brigade. they carve great, and are fun in the park too. if you spend less time riding pow, and more in the park, go s3. it's a pretty dope ski, and just the right dimensions for a sweet park ski that you can still kill back country with.

ok, i happen to know a thing or two about both these ski, so let me shed some light:

the Brigade...

-98mm waist, which is about the breaking point from park/ allmnt ski to Pow/Big mnt ski, as far as dimensions go. its gonna give you alot more float than your TM's and gonna be a decent bit stiffer...

-THC stande foe Triple Hybrid Core, which is a combination of Microcell, Isocell and wood to create the flex pattern.

-i personally would choose these cuz in my opinoin, wider is better, except on say...urban, or if your a park rat..

-its what i would choose

The Rossi S3

-Solid waist for East coast skiing

-The wood core is gonna give you a softer flex, which will allow easy ollies, easier to float in pwder then a stiff ski of simailar dimensions

-Looks like a fun ski from what i have seen...

hope that helped
