Bridger finnally getting a park

My dad is on the board and they have finnaly decided to put in a small park this year, just to see how it works out. The main issue was none of the board members wanted to see anyone get hurt. This park should be in next season sometime.

I hate it because it looks like it should be called the Prison Shower.

^Very true, and I really hope it stays that way. You should see some of the kids that come up there though, all thugged out and shit. I think a mini park will be fun to go and hit at bridger when there isn't much goin on snow wise, but mainly I will just go to bridger for the nice terrain.

definiatley wouldnt get your hopes up. i bet there is like 3 gay rails and a 10 ft table. bridger is full of nazis. Fuckers pull my pass and lie about terrain parks for 3 years. Definiatley going to big lie. and hey im not dissing the terrain. Pretty sick cliffs up their. iv'e skied 14 seasons at bridger and its time for a change.

Yes, the park is really going in. I am pretty sure it is going to be on Alpine, though it may be off of Deer Park. If you got your pass yanked, you were either doing inverts right in front of the red jackets or you need to ski in control. The patrol isn't too lame about jumping. Go launch a corked 7 off of a 60 footer if you feel like it. So long as it is within your ability level, you'll get props and no flak.

Personally, I'm optimistic about the park. I doubt it's going to be huge by any measure, but it ought to at least be thoughtfully laid out. Some of my co-workers were consulted about it last season.

i doubt it, i have been skiing in Montana for over 10 years and have heard countless rumors of small resorts putting in terrain parks. I am not saying that it wont happen, i am just saying that it wont last. Even if they do put in a small terrain park it will suck, then some little kid will break his arm and the ski patrol will tear it down. this whole scene has happened many times at my local mountain snowbowl. these two ski areas are very alike in the sense that they are run by old school ass holes. My advice to anyone who lives in bozeman, if you want to hit the best terrain park in Montana, GO TO BIG SKY, it will be worth the extra dollars.

The jump hill was open all last winter. The freestyle team was to lazy to build and fence it last year.

It is very good that some stupid old resort like Brider is finally putting in a terrain park (only 10 years too late), but it is probably going to be super strict, crappy, and will probably suck balls! It needs support, but I just hate that mountain. YEah it is expensive a Big Sky, but they put alot of work into their park last year, and this year will be 10 times better. But it is a hot thing that old Bridger Bowl is finally doing it.

Ill start with Bridger is the shit. i love that place. its cool their putting a park but dont expect too much in the first year. and ive seen the new trail map and it was under deer park on that map. what we should be talking about at bridger is the north and south expansion. now that will be some cool shit

 
yeah its cool they are putting one in, and correction to KLD last year was not terrys last, that would have been two years ago bud and as far as the new guy being "totally into the freestyle scene" i disagree i just think he actually wants the best for everyone at bridger which is cool, cuz terry just catered to the old people and that sucked

The new manager's a pretty cool guy, I talked to him a few times before he became the mountain manager. He was actually the lift manager at the time, so he actually knows what's going on for the time being. The new trail map's showing the park just above boot hill, so that should keep the little wiggers out of my new open boundaries! Say no to knuckle dragging Tanner wannabes!

 
On that note, I heard that Blacktail Mtn will be putting in a small park next year. It seems like the smaller areas are catching on.

Big Mountain's also moving their park to under chair 3, so that should be pretty cool. They're also saying that it will be open for night skiing, I know I'll be making the trip up there for some 12 hour ski days this winter!
